The Strand Road Guest House

The location was perfect for our stay Staff were friendly on arrival even though the restaurant was busy they had time to chat. Room was nice, comfy bed, great water pressure in shower wifi

Room wasnt ready when we arrived at 6pm, waited an hour with complemenary drinks. Lock on door didnt work properly. we were locked in and had to phone for help, pass key under door to be unlocked, told someone would come and fix the problem, nobody did, met staff in street on 2nd day and he asked if door had been fixed. when we said no he was surprised and said he would get someone to look at it. They never came so for the 2 nights we didn't have a secure locked door. Sink hadn't been cleaned in bathroom.

The hall carpet was dirty. (But my room was very clean & had tea, instant coffee, & biscuits.)

Really friendly and helpful staff. Amazing location, right in the centre of Falcarragh and right beside the best pub! Could park right outside for free - amazing beaches near by and a lovely town. Room was very clean and comfortable, bed was comfy and bathroom was really clean. Rooms have clearly been renovated recently so very modern inside. Loved having the 2 chairs in the room so you don't always have to sit on the bed. Couldn't beat it for the price - incredible value for money. Side note, the food in the pub is incredible so highly recommend it too.

We stayed on a Friday night so it was quite noisy with people coming and going, and our room was right beside the stairs - I'm a deep sleeper so didn't bother me but just so you know if you're staying at the weekend.
