Garrison Farm with Hot Tub

Comfortable stop-over while doing West Highland Way. Fun to be staying on a working smallholding. Beautiful evening walk straight from front door to Loch. Wonderful to make use of the hot-tub after a long day in the hills Kind caretaker farm manager collected beers for us from local bar. Great ordnance survey map on the wall of local area. Also WHW guidebooks available in the room. Lovely to have fresh boiled eggs for breakfast. Loved reading all the history of the garrison which the owner has painstakingly put together in the Welcome Book

Confusion over dinner that had been requested, not enough and only beef stew with no carbs. Hadn’t realised that there were some cooking facilities in the room eg air fryer & microwave. Farm manager kindly boiled us some rice but there was not enough food for 2 after a long day in the hills. Suggest making this clear on listing if expecting people to bring own carbs eg potatoes/rice. The honesty cafe was a bit under-stocked.

I’ve rarely stayed in an apartment that was put together with so much love and attention to detail. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and thought that went into creating this space. It was equipped with everything we needed. Everything was not only clean and well-organized, but also incredibly cozy and thoughtfully arranged. It’s clear that Kelly truly care about making their guests feel welcome.

midges. maybe a better stocked honesty shop. nothing there too late entry. and to early leave. your paying for only an afternoon.

So comfy, beautiful food (beef stew was EXCELLENT), and the hot tub was perfect at the end of a long day on the WHW :)

The remoteness and tranquility

Missed the highland cattle but that’s not down to the host. That’s just nature.

Stay was too short, some of the roads were a but rough for car but we're getting a new car. Think I left my specs so definitely need to go back
