"A birthday surprise"

Setting

Advertised by Booking.com as a 4-star hotel was, for me, totally misleading. Facilities were few and even items that could have been there, weren't. It is so remote that visitors need a lot more information about lack of access to provisions. I took my husband for his birthday and if it hadn't been for the nearby bunk house bistro, we would have returned home unfortunately. There were a number of issues that I would welcome the opportunity to feed back individually. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed.

"Scenic and restful stay in the highlands with a hot tub"

Wonderful location with cute pets and highland cows. Great views of the hills right from the hot tub! The host was really nice as well and the room was well equipped.

The property could’ve been a tad bit cleaner and the facilities (towels, robes etc.) were quite dated and worn.

"Beautiful location but beware the midges"

Beautiful location, the kitchen had equipment we hadn’t expected ( microwave and air fryer) which was great. My youngest loved seeing the animals The history of the garrison was interesting for both adults and kids

Sofa bed was broken, we did get a fold out bed but it wasn’t comfortable for my teen to sleep on. Can’t be helped but the midges were horrendous

Perfect location next to Loch Lomond and West Highlandway. The farm was very nice, good food and a very lovely host Kelly. We had a wonderfull stay.

Just back from a two day stay at this amazing place . Kelly is the best host you could wish for. I call her super woman . The place, the food,the hospitality is 10/10 . I highly recommend The Garrison for a fantastic time to relax and enjoy The hot tub was amazing too.. WE Will defenatly be back .

I loved the walks in the country . Passing loch Kateine . The food was delicious we had chicken casserole. Kelly grows all her own vegetables . A true place to come for comfort and beauty . I can not recommend this beautiful place enough . Treat yourself . 10/10 well done Kelly you are a star 🌟.

Booked on 20th April. Turned up after a 20 mile hike to be told we were double booked and we no longer had a room.
