South Lodge House

Too cramped. Shouldn't have been a shared bathroom. Alternative was way too small. Claustrophobic hot and uncomfortable. Wouldn't expect to pay 160 for this. Very disappointed

Lovely hostess/homeowner--very helpful. She made excellent breakfasts to order and taxied me (for a reasonable fee) both to and from Hever Castle and to Gatwick when it was time for me to leave.

Space was well-appointed but a bit cramped--nowhere to leave a suitcase open except in the shower, few hooks and no decent-sized drawers. Every room is different so this may just have been mine. A bit far from the nearest restaurants for someone on foot--though my hostess graciously shuttled me.

Is very well kept and a lovely setting to stay in.

I can’t actually give a bad response here, I would suggest that it isn’t 100% suitable for infants, but that isn’t the property at fault it is ours.

I found South Lodge by accident and was delighted with my stay. Julia could have not been more welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was superb especially eating it sat in the lovely grounds. Thank you

The location was ideal as it is close to town and some fantastic countryside for walking. The French doors led out to the garden where we sat in the sunshine and enjoyed our freshly cooked breakfast. The shower was brilliant, good pressure and lots of hot water.

Really nice place overall and Julia was a lovely host! She cooks an amazing breakfast, and she went above and beyond to make sure I arrived at my event :) Beware of the shared shower; it did not bother me at all but I have to say that I hadn't really noticed in the notes - so my fault really - however this was not a problem at all. My was room is cozy and had everything I needed. It's quiet and I personally slept really well. Thanks Julia!

The room is very small and the bed is very very low. Difficult to lift if you have knee problems.

Breakfast exceeded my expectations, was superb. Location was beautiful, room was spotless. Lovely soft bath robe. I needed somewhere for peace and quiet and that's what I found. Julia was a great host, very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I'd be very happy to return.

The road was a bit noisy, but easy to ignore and nothing anyone could do anything about. I'm being very pedantic here.
