We loved the cottage – the bedroom with the ensuite was a great size, and it truly felt like home. Everything was very well thought out, nothing was missing in the room, and it was very clean and beautifully decorated. We will definitely be coming back here to see Eileen ♥️ Thank you so much for an unforgettable and relaxing weekend!

Eileen was lovely and she made us very welcome and comfortable. Everything was just perfect from the bedding to the breakfast and the amazing setting with a beautiful garden to top it off.

New installed bath/shower difficult to use. Hostess aware of this and will take steps to sort this out.

This is a special place, where one is treated almost as one of the family. The isolation is a good point and in a beautiful setting down a valley the house with peaceful grounds.

Being surrounded by tranquility and nature - just wonderful. Barnell Cottage has the most beautiful and unique gardens, a landlady who is an absolute jewel, three adorable pets.

There is nothing I could not have liked. I enjoyed every minute.

Basic but perfectly adequate breakfast - scrambled eggs were excellent. Quality of house and fittings all high quality. Owner Eileen is one of the most thoughtful and interesting people you could wish to meet.

The rough potholed driveway didn't suit my low-slung car - one of those SUV buses would have been ideal, but then you wallow about on the highway! Arriving in teaming rain in the half light didn't aid my cause one little bit. I read the warnings, no complaints - my choice of transport wasn't compatible but I can still hear the metallic scraping sound as I traversed the first big rut!
