Highfield House, Parracombe, Modern B&B

I loved the quiet, the privacy, the kitchen and the chairs to watch the TV without having to sit on the bed.

I have no complaints about Highfield House at all. I wasn’t as impressed as others seem to be with the Fox and Goose pub down the road. The food was far too salty for me. I wasn’t asked to give any feedback to them.

Location, breakfast, view

As soon as we entered the property, we noticed a very damp and musty smell. The bathroom fan worked intermittently, causing lots of steam which made the whole area very damp and unpleasant. The heated towel rail was only programmed to come on for a short period of time each day, therefore the towels never dried. The towels were old and thin. Poor quality pillows.

It was immaculate! And the property was furnished to a high standard, the bed was super comfy, bathroom was spotless. There was literally nothing to fault.

The property inside was clean and breakfast good, The local pup was amazing and the food unbelievable

The only heating was a towel rail in the bathroom an the controlled heating was 20.5 which was cold for us. We were surprised on arrive at the unkempt and untidy property appearance.

Had everything you need and more!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Lovely Host. Lovely view. Comfortable and relaxing stay. Will be returning. All organic and eco friendly provisions.

I cannot find any faults!

I booked here due to the convenience of it being so close to the Calvert Trust site and it was a real treat. Beautiful views and a great nights sleep.
