Heir Island House

A magical stay—like visiting old friends by the sea I stayed at Heir House with my two boys, and it was absolutely perfect for us. Traveling solo with kids can sometimes be tricky, but from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The space is so chill and family-friendly—laid-back in all the right ways, with thoughtful touches that made our stay easy and relaxing. The beach is just heavenly, and the pizza? Truly some of the best we’ve had. But what really made the stay unforgettable were our hosts, Claudia and Craig. They are incredible—warm, welcoming, and so generous with their time and energy. We genuinely felt like part of the family by the end of our stay. If you’re looking for a soulful, easygoing place to unwind (with or without kids), I can’t recommend Heir House enough. We’ll definitely be back.

If you enjoy good food, a well equipped room, charming seaside views and great hosts- this is the place for you. I absolutely loved everything about my stay at Heir Island House, especially Claudia's and Craig's efforts to make you feel welcome and looked after! And Heir Island is just beautifull :)

Claudia and Craig, the hosts, are super friendly and provide all information needed well in advance. We got collected by Craig at the ferry and he brought our bags to the house allowing us to take a leisurely walk. Pizza nights are super busy, so make sure to book ahead.

Claudia and Craig were the perfect hosts, friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic. The house was in a great location, with a lovely garden. Room and bed well appointed - great nights sleep. Claudia is a great cook and breakfast and dinner were very enjoyable

Claudia was wonderful...so helpful and hardworking and. made us feel very welcome. Her cooking was superb...three course supper with wine plus an incredible full Irish breakfast.

Friendly comfortable great location for a hot tub with a view out to sea. Very close to the white sandy beqches to walk to.
