"A hidden gem"

10.0

Everything was absolutely perfect. The house and garden was beautiful. I stayed in the single room for two evenings. It was lovely and clean and more than enough room. I had a kettle, TV, and fridge and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. I had the choice of cereal, toast, honey, jam, tea, coffee, orange juice apple juice and the most amazing full english breakfast. Our hosts went out of our way to make us feel welcomed and at home. I was given my own key to come and go as I pleased. I had a wedding on the second day and Philip, the owner was kind enough to take me there and pick me up. I will definitely stay again if I am ever in Shrewsbury. Highly recommended! Thank you Philip and Samantha for your hospitality. I came as a stranger and definitely felt like I left as a friend. Looking forward to seeing you both again 🙂.

Nice and quiet, village setting. Philip (the host/owner) was very friendly and helpful. Good sized room, well equipped. Very good breakfast, cooked fresh to order.

Not a criticism of Philip or the B&B, generally, but the Booking.com reservation confirmation only gives a post code, which code covers a large area, so had some trouble locating the place (as did one other guest I spoke with). The place is in Back Lane, about 30 metres along the lane, on the left side, with steps and a slope up to the house. Hope this saves you from driving aimlessly around the village as I did!
