Rock Villa Relax City Resort

The owner could not be nicer. He welcomed us with tea and pastries. Heloed us plan our visits and commute. They lend us a vouole of umbrellas that saved our lives. There was hot water in the shower. Big beds.

It was not the cleanest.

Lokation. All the main monuments are reachable by foot 👍. The host is very kind and helpful with a lot of knowledges about the local magic area 😉👍🐒❤️🪄

Very bad place. They didn’t give us correct contact options. Not response. They didn’t give us our booked room. Worst place!!!

De fan of the airco made too much noise in the night. So we shut the airco off.

We absolutely loved staying at Rock Villa and would urge fellow travellers to add Mihintale to their itinerary! Kapila is one of the most welcoming, friendly, generous and knowledgeable hosts we’ve ever met and he made our short stay very special. The highlight was our tour with him of the ancient sites of Mihintale. The night before, Kapila gave us an overview of the history of the area and explained the itinerary. He is such an engaging and enthusiastic storyteller that we enjoyed every minute of our tour. We understand so much more about Buddhism now and it set us up so well for more sightseeing in Anuradhapura. Mihintale is a gem of a place not just because of its history - we spotted so many rare birds in Kapila’s beautiful garden and enjoyed watching both grey langurs and toque macaques roam the ancient sites. Both breakfast and dinner at the villa were most amazing - full of Sri Lankan specialities and very filling. We had a little cottage without aircon - the fan was more than sufficient and both the room and the bathroom were spotless. The guesthouse is a 5 minute walk from Mihintale bus station. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy a sunset from Mihintale Rock!

The location is good, walking distance to bus stop and historical sites, and the owner is very nice.

The host was amazing. Told us where to go, made us delicious food and overall took great care of us. When we were leaving he ordered us seats in the bus and took us to the station. His villa was really nice and the room was clean and comfortable.

Little more light in the bathroom would be nice
