Attitude- like another recent reviewer , staff seemed surprised to see us and had to wait. Loud music Poor shower in room Window held up by Wood Tele kept cutting out.

The location was great - very good value for Burnham Market. Bed was very comfortable and pillows were deep. Room was spacious and clean and nicely decorated.

The booking was booked with breakfast although this is only provided on a Sunday as that was the day the chef was in on the morning. Breakfast on Sunday was very good - also the curtains in the room were not put up properly and had rings not attached such a shame.

I arrived at the property about 20 minutes early having driven from Oxfordshire. The landlord was sitting at a table in the bare area & seemed surprised that I’d arrived & booked for two nights with my sister & brother in law. We were asked to give them an hour - I then asked could we have a drink, meaning from their pub. Perhaps the landlord didn’t hear my comment as there was no attempt to ask us what we wanted. At that point we left to find an alternative watering hole. On our return we were shown to our rooms & at that time there was no mention of the fact that there was no food either for dinner. So again we had to make our own arrangements to find somewhere to eat. There was no other contact with any member of staff. We were disappointed with this experience and did consider leaving early and forfeiting the cost of the 2nd night. The bedside light in my room was held together with parcel tape as can been seen in the attached photo. Not quite sure how this passed the recent PAT.

Location is good- lovely town.

We had booked a family dinner for 5 to celebrate grandson's birthday. on arrival informed that no dinner as chef had walked out, but not informed of this in advance. Bank Holiday friday so no chance of finding alternative in the town , so we had to tell family not to come. No breakfast on saturday, not even a bar of soap in bathroom and kettle did not work and was out of date for electrical testing. Exchanged in bar but not even an apology.

We were expecting bed&breakfast for the price but we learnt there was no chef so no food available. The Web site is very mis leading. There was a very noisy fan under the bedroom window that was noisy all night. So little sleep. We saw no one in the morning . All reception doors were locked so we just left the key in the room. We feel sure we were the only guests staying. It all felt very heartless sadly.

Wasn’t provided

I wasn’t sure how to check out as pub was closed in the morning so dropped keys back through letterbox. Also no lock on outside door
