Comfortable bed, nice room, friendly staff.

Very disorganised. No room cleaning. No breakfast on the second day. Food not a highlight. I think these were teething troubles because a new team had just taken over the place.

No breakfasts and no warning of this. Still small touches: bin in bathroom, rail for wet towels, 2nd bedside light , bath products, wobbly toilet seat, curtains.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel before ( under previous ownership/operation) We are from NZ and travel extensively regularly especially the UK and Europe. On this trip alone we have stayed at 20 odd hotels and Airbnb establishments. We were disappointed to have no hot water in the room for a shower or wash this was also the case for the person in the room next to us . I tried to contact someone on site to no avail neither was there any response to my telephone call .I left a note of complaint with my telephone number but did not receive a call to apologise . We left the hotel disappointed.Also there were no glasses or cutlery in the room and the internet was all but unstable.There was no ability to have breakfast at the facility .We had to drive to Wells ( 8 miles away for Breakfast ) This was the most expensive of the 8 nights we spent on this particular road trip.No value for money 30% more expensive than most.

Breakfast is not provided at the Nelson. Centrally situated for the area of Norfolk that I wanted to visit. Unaware that there was a Reggae night which continued until very late early morning. Evening meals provided met expectations and more.

Thin walls meant that other guests could be heard opening and closing doors, talking, dog barking and howling etc.

Lovely location

Disappointing visit compared to last years and now without breakfast. At check in, we were told about the change and they admitted it's work in progress, so good luck to them, I hope they improve things. Unfortunately, its all got a little grubby since our last visit. This year, our room featured a large toenail on floor, next to the bed and empty coffee sachets. Also, we had a very temperamental shower, but there were literally no staff around in the morning to ask for help... or even leave the key with!

Had to ask for cups, glasses and soap. But these were supplied immediately Very limited dinner menu but the food we had was good.
