Golden King Guest

We stayed 3 nights at Golden King Guest and we enjoyed our stay here very much. Dinosha was very welcoming and gave us local tips and recommended places to visit around Nuwara Eliya. She also helped us arrange tuktuk transport when we needed it. We had dinner two days and breakfast one day in the Guesthouse and it was delicious. Overall, we are very happy with our experience here and would repeat for sure!

Location was nice, only 20 minutes walk to the city centre by shortcut. They arranged us tuktuk driver for the day and also to get us to the train station. Breakfast was really good. The owner was really kind and always active on WhatsApp to communicate, if she wasn’t at the property.

Room gets cold at night, there is no ac. But they give you enough blankets to keep you warm, so it’s not a problem.

We got a room upgrade from double room with balcony to a complete appartment on the first Floor. It was really spacious with a Huge balcony. Amazing views. Breakfast was at the other location And was delicious. Very Nice owner. Warm Blankets And a fireplace.

Could be a bit cleaner but it wasnt gross.

Homely, clean, comfortable and peaceful. Very kind owners who are very helpful. Great value for money. A 10/15 min walk down the hill in to the city - nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend.

First I thought It's too much inside of the town. But later I found this place was better to me than staying near Lake. Since I can feel more local area vibe. Also it was a quiet fun to go to town along a shortcut.Whenever I had to ask something, owner answered me quickly as possible and nicely through Whatsapp or directly. There was a thick blankets I could sleep well in the evening. However will be helpful to bring a hotpack and sleeping socks if you feel cold easily. You can take a warm shower. And there's an electric kettle. Stay was overall clean and cozy also comfortable. In the night nearby street is dark and room also a bit dark but since i slept early, it wasn't problem at all. It was nice stay overall.

Bed was uncomfortable. The blanket was red, thin, and cheap quality The flush system was out of order, and we faced problems for taking a shower as there was no water
