The Crouch Oak

The location.

The room was to small, it was really a single room. The was no usefull draws to put clothing and there was a serious trip hazard, step into the on suite bath room. The room faced a noisy busy road.

There was no one available during the night & no contact number When the fire alarm went off I had to ring 999 fire brigade

At very reasonable price you cant really go wrong. Everything you need in a room is supplied. Plenty of tea n coffee + some biscuits. Soap + hot pressured showers. Upgraded well since I last stayed a few years back now.

Not a lot it did what it says on the box. Staff really polite and helpful.

Great spot. even a train and local bus service right outside the door.

After a very wet spring there was a little damp smell off the curtains. but it didn't affect me at all though. Bright and fresh in the morning. It might have been my imagination.

Mattress was comfortable.

Ok for the money but the bedding while washed was stained and the tiny room smelt of sweaty trainers. Massive steep steps to get up to it, doors marked A and B with no clue as to which one was what rooms meant you had to trail around looking. Waited a long time to get key as only one person serving in bar. Very noisy with other guests tramping around at 5-6am. Did the job and what I expected from other reviews.
