Friendly staff, lively bar and excellent pizza. It's nice stay in a place with character. The Red Lion is a fine old pub. Breakfast left on a tray outside the bedroom door was a nice touch.

Thin walls, but it's a traditional building so this wasn't a surprise.

"Nice little budget stay"

Comfy bed and bedding. Nice decor and complimentary toiletries, water biscuits and tea and coffee. Great atmosphere in pub

Only poor girl on bar checking us in do had to wait for bar queue to die down. Shower hadn't been cleaned properly. Blobs of pink conditioner in walls Breakfast is longlife. Ok for grabbing to go on a car journey but they recommend places for hot breakfast
