Barnfields Retreat

Absolutely exceeded all of our expectations, John was very attentive, a lovely man, and Minty the dog, is a superstar. The property was far better than I envisaged, with some eye catching decor and scenery at the back of the retreat. A utterly brilliant couple of days spent there, I cannot recommend it highly enough I will definitely be returning

Very welcoming, a choice of rooms and special touches with fresh flowers, chocolates and a mini fridge. We weren’t rushed to check out and we had a leisurely late breakfast in the morning.

This place was very charming and unique- full of art and sculptures and character. Friendly host, lovely friendly little dog, gorgeous bedroom with balcony overlooking a field with binoculars by the bed ready to watch the deer, rabbits and various birds from. :) Continental style breakkie was a nice start to the day- toast, croissants, fruits, cereal, juice, coffee.

It’s not hotel level of cleanliness so don’t expect that. It felt homely as is ok for a B&B.
