Quinta Maria Cortez Beach Hotel

The beach in front is beautiful. Jerry really did everything he could to make us feel at home and accommodated every request we had. Also, I just randomly asked them for a restaurant to take my partner for dinner because it was going to be his birthday, and they decorated the room super cute. Thank you so much!

Please know that they will have construction next door at least until October. If you are not going to spend a lot of time in your room, it is not a big deal, but I had to work a lot during my stay, so I heard the construction the whole day. Otherwise, the place is very charming.

Quiet, good bed, nice balcony.

The property charges USD30 if you check-in after 9pm. Unfortunately our flight was late and then ubers/taxis were an issue. We called the hotel and told them we would be slightly late. We got there at 9:07pm. Not only did they charge USD30, the staff member extremely rude. The attitude of 'too bad', you should have known along with a sort of disrespect not expected of this sort of hotel. The lack of empathy and common sense and an attitude of superiority is what really irked us. The money itself is just a small time money grab. What about a late check-in like the thousands of hotels I have stayed around the world have? Note that the beach is not really swimmable. We had a quick splash, but you have to be careful with currents and rocks. And yes, as advertised, there are a lot of stairs! The food is very overpriced - you know it's going to be when the prices are listed in USD in Mexico.

The suite we stayed in was absolutely beautiful with direct access to the beach below. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and even went out of their way to set up a special birthday surprise for my brother and I!

It was a bit noisy during our stay due to construction on a building next door.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. It looks unclean and noisy, not worth the price we paid.

The location was great and the room was beautiful! The staff was incredibly kind and even decorated the room for our honeymoon. The upstairs pool was the perfect spot to watch the sunset and relax at the end of the day. The beach was gorgeous and the AC in the room worked amazing!

There was extensive construction going on making our room unusable from 9 am - 6 pm. It was way too loud and we couldn’t even hear eachother speak. Also, our outside door wasn’t marked very well so multiple people tried to come in that door in the middle of the night looking for the side door to the place - causing us to wake up thinking someone was breaking in. The WiFi also did not work in our room - we were in 135 (double king room).

I liked the bed. The cooking staff was very nice :)

The facilities were not ideal and the staff didn't have strong customer service. The bathroom door was broken, so no privacy. The main bedroom door is an actual closet door so people can see thru the little slats. The door lock was an indoor closet clock so we didn't feel secure. The refrigerator and coffee ingredients are inside the bathroom, which is weird.

Amazing location! Clean and quiet.

No refund policy, but way exceeded expectations.
