The Cherry Tree Hotel

Recently refurbished, so very modern and updated inside. Nice comfortable bed. Cafe on the ground floor, so you can get breakfast, snacks, coffee, beer and wine. Good host.

Clean, breakfast was adequate when we finally got it.

Tiny little room, no reception for Wi-Fi, television only had only 4 channels, really noisy throughout the night, doors slamming, toilets flushing they need to sound proof it. Stuck in the middle of nowhere and when we went to the next village along all the pubs didn’t serve food with one exception, we were offered kebabs. Breakfast was eventually served around 8.30. Wouldn’t stay again.

Cleanliness and friendliness. The breakfast was excellent and looked like a piece of art on a plate. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The en-suite was only small but ticked all the boxes and the shower was full size and really hot if required.

Biggest criticism would be the size of the room. The window sill had to act as “larder “ for tea and coffee bags along with bottles of water etc and there is very little hanging space for clothes.

The room was nice and well kitted out.

The walls were paper thin and you could hear other peoples conversation, what ever they weee watching on tv or doors slamming until late in the evening. The first evening because our room was above the dining room and there was music playing until 11 pm.

Friendly and helpful manager who really helped to make the stay comfortable. Super comfortable bed, great shower and fab coffee and breakfast! Thoroughly recommended!

Neil ( the manager ) was exceptional - warm welcome, super helpful. Room had a fridge & microwave. Perfect location for walking The Ridgeway too !
