The room is freshly redone and nice. Nothing fancy but reflects the lake lifestyle. The grounds, bar, restaurant, beach and tiki bar were delightful! We’ll definitely return!

We loved the lodge and the employees. We did not eat at the restaurant because we were visiting fŕiends who invited us for dinner at their lake home. Our only complaint is the lack of an elevator. At 81 y/o, the steps to the 2nd floor with luggage is a killer. Probably will keep us from staying here again.

Our family was in Cross Lake for a funeral this weekend. Several family members stayed at Manhattan Beach. It was perfect for us. The food was great and the staff were all awesome! This is a traditional family resort, so not super fancy but clean and beds very comfortable. It was quiet this weekend, so we kinda had the place to ourselves. Such a great location that I'm sure it is jumping in the summertime. Would definitely stay again.

If I was able to rate this place more than 5 stars I would. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone! To start, when checking in we were immediately greeted by the amazing staff, and was shown how to use to new door code plus was told that there had been a recent renovation of the place. The room and atmosphere was beyond expectations! Now to get to the restaurant portion. Again, amazing. How can you beat such a beautiful place to be at? The food, drinks, and staff were fantastic. When went to go have dinner and was greeted by the manager Crystal, she was so nice! We did not have a dinner reservation but she was so accommodating and was able to squeeze us in! She has to be one of the nicest managers I’ve ever met! She found out it was our anniversary and even brought us a completely dessert! The staff overall was so great but Crystal was definitely the best of them all!

Upon arrival there was no one at the front desk. We had to go look for someone. The rooms have been renovated and are nice. Hallways and exterior still look rough. All members of staff BESIDES the manager were absolutely awesome. Each member of our six person group experienced a rude and belittling interaction with Crystal the manager. After reading reviews I see that she has specifically been called out for her poor customer service skills. This is something that ownership may want to address. For us personally, we may go back for the outdoor patio, tiki bar and boat docking. But we will not be staying at the resort again, which is sad because we are repeat guests.

We had dinner outdoors. We were seated immediately. No one came to our table to serve us until the manager came by. We sat for atleast 10 minutes. We had dinner and then were informed by the server that we needed to leave in 5-10 minutes because they needed the table. I had just ordered a second glass of wine. Very rude and inconsiderate to make us wait and then order us to leave before we had finished dining.

We love boating on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes and had never stayed at this property although we have eaten here many times. This isn’t a review of the restaurant; it’s phenomenal. It opened many years ago and renovated a few years ago. The history of this place is fun and is displayed in the lobby area with pictures and maps of the lakes. Anybody who has owned a business knows there are a thousand physical attributes of your plant and equipment that people say you can do better. This property is no exception. When we were there, they were painting the outside, renovating one of the suites, and doing flower plantings for a wedding celebration that was held while we were there. So, you will read reviews that say things like the shower caulk was yellow or a room needed new carpet. If that bothers you, don’t stay here; this property is located on a large body of water and humidity, sand and weather are always going to be a battle for the property owner. The lake s beautiful, the food is fabulous and you will find the staff easy going and accommodating. Yes, the sunsets are beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here and it’s worth it just watching the boats and people watching at 3:00 when the restaurant opens. You will find this property very dog friendly. The fishing is great here and you can catch smaller pan fish right off the dock and the big walleyes are right out there in this usually tranquil bay. We hope you patronize this Minnesota legacy and feel like you are in the comfort of your cabin.
