Bayshore Resort Downtown Put-in-Bay Island

We paid almost $700 a night and didn't even have a coffee pot in our room. There was no complimentary coffee at all in fact, you had to go downstairs to the lobby and pay for it. The fan in our bathroom didn't work, our remote control to the TV didn't work, the door to the balcony would not shut all the way unless you slammed it, and I stepped on a piece of glass on the balcony. As mentioned there was no coffee pot, but also no mini refrigerator and no microwave. It was the most basic room I've ever been in. The one thing it had going for it was the view. We couldn't even connect to their internet. We've lived and traveled all over the world and stayed in some amazing places and paid a fraction of what we paid for Bayshore. Definitely not worth $690 a night. The staff was kind and was able to check us out early so that we could go stay somewhere else.

Our stay was great. They can’t help it if parents don’t teach their kids to be considerate of others in the pool or rooms. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Bathrooms and showers have not been updated and need some work.TV was a small as a computer monitor. As others noted, there is no mini fridge, coffee maker or microwave, which is really behind the times, especially at these prices. You have to go downstairs to the coffee shop and actually pay four dollars for a cup of coffee. It just seems so ridiculous. Just get some coffee makers and put them in the room for goodness sake or have a self serve kiosk. Really just seems like another money grab. Great views, close to town. We would stay here again.

Property is well located for easy access to most food and the Jet Express.

The room was large and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.

No mini fridge, coffee pot or microwave in the room and no continental breakfast or free coffee in the lobby.

Beautiful location right on the water. We visit annually and this property was definitely the best place we have stayed on the island.

Room housekeeping was non existent. We took out our garbage and exchanged dirty towels for clean from the housekeepers cart in the hallway. The property as a whole was well kept and clean, very comfortable.

The staff was very nice and welcoming

There were no appliances at all. No refrigerator, microwave, or anything. All the patio furniture was covered in spider webs as well as the balcony.

It was a quiet setting. The pools and jacuzzi were very nice.

I wish there was a place to purchase a sit sown breakfast on site.

We rented a 2 cabanas on Saturday. The pool closer to the lake should be designated the adult only pool and both should be heated. We had a group of 15 and were all in the pool and 3 children brought huge pool floats over to the heated pool and were quite annoying and in the way with that many people in the pool.

Property was great. A little dated but I think that’s common for this area. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Pool area was lovely. Staff was friendly.
