Independence Stay Hotel & Suites

I am still thinking.....

My husband was paying for my room with his credit card- same last name same address, all of it. The kind lady that checked me in told me she couldn't use his card without a permission slip signed, so I did as she asked. I sent him the permission slip. He sent it back to me via text which was fine according to the nice lady that checked me in. When i went to check out the assistant manager couldn't even look at the slip, demanded a picture of his driver's license, which i got- and she still refused to help. She would not listen, just over talked me and my sister telling me about fraud- i am fully aware of fraud due to my job. She had my id, his id, same address same last name, his signature on the form - not fraud, She was on a power trip, she liked being in control and she probably didn't know how to refund a card. Read all the negative reviews... they are true! Regarding the hockey team, she was probably the manager on duty. Not friendly, nor helpful. She will not help you but she will tell you how it is. The price of the hotel did not reflect what you received. I travel a lot (this is why we use my husbands card for points- never had problems with it before!) I honestly would suggest staying in Green Bay and driving to Marinette. Will never stay here again.

Cleanliness, quiet, location

Nice, newer room. Pool with hot tub, breakfast had warm sausage egg fr toast, good coffee. Great location.

Hall noise

Nice room. Very clean, accommodating staff, pool and Whirlpool. We're okay. Little too much chlorine

Kids running around all hours of the night. People in the whirlpool vaping playing their own music on a speaker box. Daf was trying to be accommodating but didn't seem to really do anything about it. Just said it's the weekend
