Ironworks Building

I can't explain what I liked about it, you had to be there to experience the awesomeness that I experienced!

This was very close to everything and walkable! Bed was super comfy and everything was very clean. My only complaint was that parking was a little confusing. Would definitely stay here again!

The original code we received wasn't working, but fortunately I was able to reach management right away and they sent me a new one - even remotely unlocked the door so we could get our stuff in the apartment while we made sure the new code was working. The apartment was a great size for 2 people, everything was very clean, we had enough towels - and it was nice to have a kitchen. It is in good proximity to the convention center - and walkable to the French quarter, the river walk, etc.

My biggest complaint was the noise - the walls and windows are old and do not block noise at all. all of my sound machines were blasting and I could still hear all of the street noises and our "apartment neighbors" noises as well. Because of that, I wouldn't stay there again - it's too bad because it's a nice building.

We had a great stay in our 1/1, which was exactly as pictured with a king-size bed. It even had a washer/dryer in the bathroom. Everything was super clean and modern. Building has a great vibe - easy in and out too. Not touristy at all. Communications with Ironworks was easy the entire time. Safe neighborhood for walking any time. We would definitely stay there again! We stayed in unit 201, which was above the Ironworks coffee shop (great coffee and crepe shop). They open their garage around 6:50am so if you’re not an early riser, try to request another room that is not units 201-203. We initially booked a hotel in the French Quarter but realized that the night life might be a bit loud for us as we are early risers. The apartments in Ironworks are in a great location - central for walking to the Riverwalk (10 mins) and French Quarter (15 mins). You can walk or take a great streetcar ride to the Garden District. There is a Rouses Market half a mile away if needed. Lots of great restaurants within a 10-min walk: Cochon, Peche, Gianna, Meril, Galliano, Restaurant Rebirth, Ruby Slipper CBD, and more. Highly recommend the Phantom tours (Google as they offer multiple tours). If you don’t want to walk the entire time to/from French Quarter, just catch the St Charles streetcar. Download the RTA app, which provides all the ticket options (Jazzy passes, which can be used all day for maybe $4.00 or pay single $1.25 where you can ride any streetcar or RTA bus and use the same ticket for maybe 4 hrs.). Same price for RTA bus 202 that takes you to/from the MSY New Orleans airport. The bus runs to/from 9 times. From the airport to Ironworks, you can cab it for $36 (1-2 people or $14/pp if more than 2 passengers) or take the RTA 202 bus for $1.25/pp to Union Passenger Terminal or Elk Place at Canal bus stop (both are @ 1-mi from Ironworks). On return, there’s a closer bus stop to Ironworks.

Great location. Located in the heart of the warehouse district. Lots of attractions in a 10-15 minute walk from the unit. Only issue were the bedroom breaker kept tripping. Just a bad breaker. Needs to be replaced. No biggie. Lovely coffee shop attached to the condos.
