Birchwood Lodge

We loved our stay. The room was perfect! Second-floor rooms are all ground level because they are built into a hillside. We were able to walk out the patio door to the parking lot area, and to the left was the fantastic pool area. We were able to take a short walk to the downtown area. Also, just across the parking lot, a short walk to the grocery store. We will send our family and friends here.

We were late making a reservation so had to take the Honeymoon Suite, but we had 3 adults, which meant someone had to sleep on the sofa bed. An Iron Maiden would have been as comfortable. It should not be offered as an option unless the 3rd person is 5 or under. Otherwise it was okay. Very clean, and hardworking staff.

The location was perfect and the staff was excellent. Roman and Emma went above and beyond to make our stay even that much better.

We had a 1-BR suite that opened up to the parking lot. Easy access to the pool and we enjoyed using the outdoor pool a couple of times. Very nice. Everything in the suite/lodge is a bit dated. I do wish more motels/hotels would spend some money on keeping their sleeper couches updated. This one was very old and so uncomfortable. By the end of the 4 nights, I was in so much pain from the terrible mattress. It was quite poor lighting in the bathroom. Very large shower, but when the tile in the bathroom and shower were wet, they were pretty treacherous, especially for my husband who has limited mobility. Very little water pressure on the hand held shower. Also, there were no handrails of any kind in the huge shower for him. Just at the toilet (thankfully).

Beautiful lodge, nice large rooms. Close to the downtown and could walk there or use the free shuttle. Would come again!

The location was nice. We didn't need to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk down to the activities if we wanted. Clean the place was exceptionally clean and well cared for.Very happy with our visit and will be back when we do our next Door County vacation.

Very nice. Our room had a mini kitchen and patio. Great outdoor pool. Very quiet. Offer of an outdoor grill. Recommend staying here. We liked it because it was just outside town, by the grocery store and a couple good restaurants. Staff was very nice/helpful.

From the time you arrive and enter the lobby for check in, Birchwood is bright and inviting. Very friendly staff and the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We used the complimentary bikes to get some exercise in. The pools and clean and spacious. Easy walk to the beach and restaurants and bars in downtown Sister Bay. An extra bonus was the free shuttle in and around Sister Bay on Thursday-Saturday. Nights.
