Rockport Harbor Hotel

The room was spacious and very well appointed. Gorgeous view and fireplace. Enjoyed sitting fireside in the lobby and playing cards and reading with family.

The Rockport Harbor hotel is a DREAM, and I am adding it to my list of favorite hotels in the country (maybe even the world). Camden/Rockport is a beautiful, quaint quintessential coastal town with picturesque views, great dining, and lots of shopping (all within walking distance!). We chose a room with a balcony facing the harbor, and I am so glad we did. The room was incredibly spacious with a gorgeous, large bathroom (huge bathtub, shower, double vanity, heated floors, etc.), a separate bedroom with a LUXURIOUS king bed, and a separate sitting room with leather coaches and a fireplace. I could have stayed in this room for a week and had the most amazing, relaxing time. I took the opportunity to do some watercolor painting out on the balcony and watched the light change as the sun set. The fireplace and separate lounge were cozy. The bed and bedroom were a real stand-out. The mattress was firm but plush, the pillows were perfect, and because of the pocket door, you could get the room completely dark. I was in heaven! You could also adjust the thermostat and get the room cold if you wanted (perfect for sleep). I would actually fly to Camden/Rockport just to stay at this hotel again. Also, the restaurant was quite good and parking was super easy.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views and massive hotel rooms. My wife and young daughter were visiting various towns in Maine and stayed a night in Rockport. We wish we would’ve stayed here longer. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were unbelievable. We loved the dual room fire place and large bathrooms. We had lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant and were very impressed. The views from the restaurant / hotel lobby was breathtaking. Overall, such an amazing experience here. We will definitely be back!

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The staff were all so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, the room was incredibly clean and wonderful, and the food and drinks at the Oak Room in the lobby were top notch. Worth the splurge if you’re on the fence!

I booked a room here for five nights in October as I was taking a class at Maine Media. The hotel was noticeably more expensive than any other place in Camden so I was expecting very good service and excellent food. I was expecting to have everything in the room be functioning and clean. This is not unreasonable considering the price. The people that work here try very hard, but the hotel apparently is understaffed. Maid service is only available between certain hours and you have to ask for it even if you are staying for several days. The food is really not good. I invited a friend for dinner last night and I was embarrassed to see what was served to her. It seems to be heavily breaded and overly sauced without much flavor and no apparent effort to have fresh ingredients and fresh salad. This was disappointing to me because I had planned on eating dinner here every night. Both televisions in the room did not function and despite the fact that the front desk person came up to try to fix them and claimed they were fixed, it took a lot of effort to get them to change channels and find the movies that I wanted. Local TV was even more impossible. I liked my room, though I am tired of hotels painting rooms dark gray, and dark green because I find it really oppressive. Maine in the winter is already dark enough and there’s nothing wrong with a nice white. It makes everyone feel more cheerful. They claimed the room had a kitchenette, but there’s no toaster, which makes it difficult to make breakfast as most people do want to have toast in the morning. I was told by the front desk staff that I could buy the bread and take it to the kitchen and they would toast it for me. There is no room service. All in all I would say that this hotel was pleasant but certainly did not deserve five stars. At every corner it seems the owner is trying to save money. I understand that given the times, but I think if you do that you have to lower the price.

It is a stunning hotel!! Rooms are so beautiful with a great view! I can’t say enough about how wonderful this hotel is!

The location of the property was fine. It is a LONG WAY from anything else in ME, though.

The room was advertised as a "harborview" room. There were some trees in the way. The only thing I could say wrong about the place.

We didn't stay at the hotel but had drinks and food in the Oak Room and enjoyed looking at the harbor with a glass of wine. I would go there if you are in Rockland for a nice meal or a wine break and have the pretty atmosphere and harbor view. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Don’t get rooms 1-4. Parking lot view disappointing.
