Rockport Harbor Hotel

beautiful, clean and spacious with wonderful view and great staff

On June 24, I was denied access to the eating area of the Rockport Hotel in Rockport, Maine. When I started walking to the dining area, I was stopped by the receptionist. She informed me that I couldn't take a dog into the area. As my service dog quietly sat next to me, I pointed out that he is a service dog and was wearing his vest from Southeastern Guide Dogs. Despite this, she was politely adamant about regulations, etc. I then asked her if I were sight impaired and he was a guide dog, would she restrict our access? She had no answer. I do not blame the lady; she was polite and doing her job. I do blame the management who put her in this position. Of note, the Rockport Hotel is owned by the same management group as the Camden Harbour Inn in Camden, Maine, who routinely welcome my service dog. It should be incumbent on management that staff are aware of the legal requirements of the American Disabilities Act and service dogs.

Breakfast was quality- better than most other large chain hotels. Clean room, spacious, and amenities were new and good quality. Overall amazing stay and would come back.

The coffee table was glass which is nice but not kid friendly.

Great location, exceptional hotel.

Wow! I have watched this place as it was getting built over the past 3-4 years, and all I can say is WOW. I went and stayed in April while passing through the Mid Coast, and was really impressed. It was really nice. They are still getting sorted, but overall this is an amazing property. The level of detail is awesome. Very well done!

We love Rockport and the mid coast area. This new hotel is right on the harbor and the balcony is wonderful! Dinner and breakfast were delicious! The staff from Hugh to Emma are awesome. Loved talking to them. Very helpful staff. The dinner and breakfast were wonderful and great wait staff! Area is one of our favorite places in Maine!

Easier to figure out how to turn on TV, but kinda glad to not get hooked on watching TV. Would like a step to get in and out of soaking tub.

We were fortunate enough to find this gem during an April Noreaster and were the only ones staying here. The hotel was more than we could have wished for, so beautiful and comfortable. The food was SO GOOD and the staff truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could need. If we ever get back to this part of Maine we will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a long weekend off-season, not long after they opened for business. We had a very enjoyable stay. This is a lovely small hotel with spacious and well appointed suites (ours had a terrific view of the harbor) and a nice lounge and restaurant downstairs. The staff was terrific, very friendly and attentive. Given that the property is new, everything was immaculately clean. Great location. Would definitely return.
