McPherson Inn

I've been to Mcpherson more than once since I went to /from Oklahoma some and passed through here. I stayed here once because another place which was cheaper, was closed. It was highly overpriced - it had been newly remodled so it looked good enough. But my account and payment was mucked up and when I checked out they tried to double charge me. My bank had to straighten it out. I ended up feeling Mcpherson is a discriminatory town - its supposed to be a well to do community but I ended up quite unimpressed with how they treat people. Also my bed was so darned high up - I needed a step ladder. Breakfast was pretty good in the morning, but really the staff was not very good to me, so I cannot give it a higher recommendation.

This hotel has a great breakfast and helpful staff BUT the bed was terrible. The indention was so deep on one side of the King bed, that one of us had to sleep in the middle of the bed away from the indention in the mattress. We informed the hotel that this room should not be rented again until this mattress was replaced. The bathroom looked clean when we arrived until we found a bowel movement in the toilet. Housekeeping came immediately and completely cleaned the bathroom. These issues gave us a bad opinion of an otherwise fine hotel.

Always stay here when in McPherson visiting family! Friendly staff and clean facility. Recently remodeled. Easy access to interstate. Nearby are Walmart, Walgreens and several places to eat. Hotel has breakfast buffet that is normal Holiday Inn fare.

We just needed a bed for a night on our way thru Kansas. The Holiday Inn filled the bill. We were going to take the "grab bag" offer but decided to stay and relax over breakfast. The pancake machine is a winner!!

Great accomodations. Quiet easy access to the highway. Brains, Walgreens, WalMart, Applebee's and more all within walking distance. They were very nice and the room was very clean with cold AC and a fridge. Good breakfast as well. Visit Newton, Hillsboro, Marion for some fun small town adventure.

We stayed here overnight for a one night stay to visit McPherson College. During the middle of COVID so no breakfast (full) was offered but they provided a small breakfast to us with gloves and masks and the dining area was clean! Room was spotless and ready for guests, made us feel safe staying here during the pandemic. All personnel were very helpful. We did not get room service but the breakfast help and front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. We will be back for many more trips to the college:)

Fast and Friendly Staff at check in, wonderful room and a great breakfast! Fresh Pancakes and very good cereal selection. Love the fact i get to choose to dine in the breakfast area or grab bag and Staff treated me extremely well.

First, the staff, was the most personable we encountered during our almost 3 week vacation road trip. Second, the newly remodeled hotel exceeded our expectations for comfort and cleanliness. The new integrated (electronic) headboards and lighting matched or exceeded those in the high end "Indigo" brand of IHG...WELL DONE IHG, and all the staff at the McPherson KS, HIE.

This is a modern HIE situated close enough to the interstate to be convenient, but far enough away to be quiet. Nancy was cheerful and efficient, which is always a plus at the end of a long day. The indoor pool and hot tub were exactly what we expected, and very welcome. Our room, like the public facilities, was spotless. The only shortcoming we would note is the absence of a freezer element in the mini-frig. This is strictly hit and miss in the HIE chain, so as so often, we had to leave our dry ice at the front desk and retrieve it in the morning. If the chain wants clients to stop using the ice machines to fill their coolers, they need to make the use of dry ice more convenient in their facilities.

This hotel is among my all-time favorites. This is the third night of a three day stay for my husband and myself, and our second visit to this hotel, and everything has been perfect! Compared to other comparably priced hotels, the mattresses are more comfortable, the duvet covers are removable and cleaned between guests, the shampoo and conditioner are in clearly labeled (large enough print to read) pump containers in the shower, water pressure is great in sink and shower, bar soap is high quality, lighting is bright enough for applying cosmetics, the room is tidied and everything replenished daily, the decor is updated and fresh, space is provided for 2 suitcases instead of one, and breakfast foods are plentiful, fresh and delicious. An added bonus - the two ladies in charge of breakfast while we have been here are Lori and Irmgard (spelling?). Both are efficient and very helpful. The hotel is very close to the McPherson exit from I 135. The only drawback is there seem to be no signs helping travelers find their way to the hotel, and the road to the parking area is not very good. But we learned this will soon be remedied. Highly recommend this hotel!
