McPherson Inn

Friendly check-in. Convenient parking. The first room I was given had a toilet with the handle broken off. The next room that I was given had the drapery rod broken and drapes hanging precariously. The privacy screen worked so I reported the drapes but did not change rooms. Later, I went to get some ice…you guessed it, the ice machine was broken. Both rooms that I checked into seemed clean enough but had a funky smell. I would stay there again but only if I was traveling solo. Not a place to bring a wife/girlfriend/family.

Hotel is dated, carpeting has been removed and fake wood floors installed, leaving carpet as a baseboard. Microwave did not work, coffee pot did not work. The night stand was dirty, it had greasy stains as well as drink rings that had not been wiped off. Bedding was clean but very stained. Glad I only had to stay one night.

Rooms were not clean, toilet broke and they had no one too fix it. Changed room's and the same thing, Dirty. Do not suggest to anyone.

McPherson Inn is an older hotel. However, it was clean and that's what's important. There was an indoor pool on the property. The only complaint we have was that the ice machine was broken, but that's minor. The staff was pleasant and accomodating.

The reviews online on different sites were hit or miss, but this hotel was actually great. The pool was currently emptied but was told another hotel close by had an agreement for use. We decided we didn’t want to walk over since it was cold outside! The hotel was quiet, the staff was personable, friendly, and polite, and breakfast was perfectly easy for us and the kids. The water and other “available all day” amenities were a nice touch. The curtains in our room had some stains on them, but that was the only thing off with “cleanliness” we noticed. Nothing that won’t bring us back on our next trip out this way! Overall the price and hotel were perfect!
