Some quirks that were part of the character but slightly annoying eg had to ask staff to adjust room temperature as they held control in office and lounge area went dark at 9:30

Der Ryokan ist schon ein etwas älteres Haus und genau das macht den Charme aus. Alles ist liebevoll eingerichtet mit viel Holz. Natürlich ist das Haus dadurch etwas hellhörig; darauf wurden wir aber bereits nach der Buchung hingewiesen. Es gibt keinen Aufzug und die Treppe in den oberen Stock ist auf der steilen Seite. Aber das hat den Aufenthalt für uns auch zu einem kleinen Highlight gemacht. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß für 3 Erwachsene, der private Bad separat im Erdgeschoss. Man bekommt einen eigenen Schlüssel für das Bad. Man bekommt Hausschuhe zur Verfügung gestellt und kann im Aufenthaltsraum Tee, Kaffee und Wasser holen. Die Betten und der Futon waren sehr bequem und wir haben gut geschlafen. Der Ryokan ist leicht zu Fuß vom Bahnhof erreichbar (ca. 10 Minuten, oder auch per Taxi oder Stadtbus). In der Nähe gibt es viele verschiedene Restaurants. Das Personal war zu jeder Zeit freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück haben wir uns vor Ort dazugebucht, auch damit waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Located at the back of an old home it's a great place to get a private room and explore the local area. The staff are friendly and kind! Classic japanese futons and great breakfast.

2年ほど前に改装したとのことで、内装はとても綺麗で、清潔でした！和の感じがとても良く、カフェや談話室、洗濯機もあり満足しています！

歯ブラシ、浴衣はなく持っていきました。 また、浴槽はなくシャワーだけでしたので、ゆっくり浸かるというのはできません。

趣のある建物とスタッフにも丁寧に対応いただきました。松本城も丁度歩いていける良い場所ですね。

建物の関係上、やむを得ませんが、音が響きますね。祭りはノーマークでした。 朝食が時間かかるのが予想外でした。とても美味しいものでした。

The couple who runs it is very sweet. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. Room was traditional, a tad uncomfortable, though was nice to have multiple rooms to ourselves. We paid for private shower and bath, which was nice.

Ended up being a bit more expensive than anticipated, and almost didn't have enough cash on hand! Would be nice to have known exactly how much I needed.
