HOTEL DOLPHIN GRAND

Hotel Dolphin Grand in Varanasi is a fantastic value. Very conveniently located and comfortable hotel for the price. Sure, there might be nicer places in town and ones closer to the Ghats, but they cost a lot more and will be much noisier. Dolphin is close enough to walk to the Ganges, and located on a main street where it is easy to find a Tuk Tuk if you need a ride to the farther parts of town. The room is comfortable enough for two people. The shower did get a little water on the floor, but not a big deal. The staff was very kind and helpful, especially Lakshmi at the front desk. Breakfast in the lobby was tasty.

this hotel must have been renovated not so long ago. it was out-of-india quality of cleanliness with one the friendliest and the most helpful staffs we’ve met during our trip in india. it was the first time in our trip that we enjoyed clean water shower that reverted our hair back to normal conditions after the shower. we had an amazing stay here.

Sehr gutes, sauberes Hotel mit hervorragender Kundenorientierung. Die Gaths am Ganges sind innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption, insbesondere Herr Pryanshu sind aussergewöhnlich kompetent und hilfsbereit.

Either newly built or renovated. The place was clean and nicely appointed. Close enough to the ghats so that you can walk to it in 15 min.

L’hôtel est bien situé. Pour seulement 136e pour 2 nuits en demi-pension ça vaut le coup. La chambre était propre, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Le petit-déjeuner était très bon et nous pouvions choisir ce que nous souhaitions à la carte. Le soir c’était pareil, nous pouvions prendre ce que nous voulions pour dîner et le personnel du restaurant était très bien. C’est un restaurant uniquement végétarien mais franchement les saveurs changent et c’est bon. Nous avions payés avant d’arriver pour éviter tout désagrément qu’on a pu lire dans certains commentaires. Le manager a juste essayé, à notre arrivée, de nous dire que le petit-déjeuner n’était pas compris mais lorsque nous lui avons montrer notre voucher avec demi-pension il a dit ok et n’a pas insisté.

Enjoyed my stay at the Grand Dolphin. The service was warm and attentive, the hotel clean and the food quite good. As a foreign traveller, I found the area a little tricky to navigate but there were always rickshaws nearby to help me get around.

The hotel is close to Ganges River, but is was outdated, dirty and very expensive for what we payed for.
