Pros: - beautiful new hotel with amazing views of the volcano - good onsen facilities (hot and cold baths, communal area has a foot bath) - the Flying Hog dinner course (Flame) was INCREDIBLE, better than 3 Michelin Star restaurants I have been to. Such a fantastic restaurant with a talented chef! Problems: - The hotel location is very bad. It is basically not worth it to stay here just for the terrible location. It requires a taxi drive either to the shinkansen station or the main downtown area. Meanwhile the downtown area has plenty of cheap quality hotels. As much as this is a nice modern hotel, it's not worth it for the awful location if you want to see the town. - DO NOT BOOK THE CLUB ROOM ON WEEKDAYS - they don't tell you, but the Club Lounge only serves breakfast on the weekends. So you pay extra for the Club level room to avoid the breakfast buffet fiasco on the ground floor, and then you still have to eat at the ground floor breakfast buffet which is super crowded and have to wait for a table. - The rooms do not have bathtubs. That is super weird and rare in Japan. Even like $40 a night business hotels have personal bathtubs in each room. Feel like Sheraton western private equity executives who don't understand Japan making decisions. - You don't get a yukata in your room to wear to the onsen. Again this is very common even at very cheap Japan hotels. Stupid. - They train the staff to tell you this dumb speech at check-in about how you can't wear your slippers around the hotel or something. Ok then, give us proper slippers of some kind. Our cheaper hotel in Kyoto did that.

Très bon séjour . L’hôtel est magnifique les chambres très confortables la vue sur le volcan à tomber ! Personnel adorable. La shuttke pour la gare toutes les 30 minutes vraiment pratique.

Personeel ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Heerlijke Onsen en fitness ruimte. En een uitgebreid en verscheiden ontbijt.
