The size, the central location, the kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Deficit of parking lots, even not free, especially in weekends. Difficulty in taking care of garbage (no spare bags for sorting, small and smelly room for disposal). Wi-fi details were'nt available and the staff was not helpful enough.

Wir haben eine Woche dort als Familie verbracht und fanden die Wohnung klasse. Minimalen Punktabzug gibt es für die Härte der Betten. Das WLAN bringt leider nicht die angepriesenen >25 MB‘s, was für einen Film aus der Mediathek auf dem Tablet nicht immer ausreichte. Der Fernseher besitzt leider nicht einen deutschen Sender, was schade war, da wir abends öfter schlechtes Wetter hatten. Ansonsten ist die Wohnung sehr gut ausgestattet und zentral gelegen, Parkplätze direkt davor sind etwas Glückssache, es ist aber immer Bewegung drin. Wir würden die Wohnung wieder buchen wenn’s mal wieder nach Stresa gehen soll.

1. We arrived at night, but had to go to other city 3km from the apartment to collect the keys, which cost us 20eur to get there by taxi, as no public transportations was running at that time. But host assured us that they are in the process to put a self check in box. So hopefully it won't be a problem in the near future. I would suggest to add this information to the description, so future guest can plan accordingly. 2. There was no information during booking, that bed linen and towels are charged additionally, for 8 people group we paid 92eur on top. I would suggest too, to add it to the general information. But overall it was fantastic experience.

A great apartment if like us you are looking for a really convenient Stresa location a couple of minutes walk from to the boat tour dock, with all the cafes restaurants and shops in easy walking distance (nearby takeaway gluten-free pizza place was a bonus), and are not fussed about having a view from the apartment itself. Air conditioned, well-equipped, clean and comfortable. Clear instructions on collecting key from agent who was friendly and helpful (although based 10 minute drive away in Baveno). Small pebbly public beach nearby with a bar that has great views across the lake.

None of these things were a problem for us but things to be aware of. Although there is a lift you still need to carry your bags up a short flight of steps to reach it so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. As detailed in the listing there is a charge for parking which is a 10 minute walk away although you can park short-term on the road almost outside the apartment to drop off baggage etc although busy we were able to find a space here each time ( the apartment entrance is not directly into the street but down a short pedestrian walkway). Linen and towels are charged separately which seems like it would be more appropriate in a budget apartment but a bit odd for this one and just one more thing to remember to organise.

We stayed there for three nights. A very nice lady checked us in. The check in takes place in the town before Stresa. The apartment is in a perfect location, by the boats, centre of Stresa; lots of cafes, restaurants and a grocery store. Easy free street parking; large quiet apartment; I would've given this place 5 stars except they have a ridiculous policy of paying $14 Euros per person for bed linens and towels; Imagine my surprise when I received a text saying "did you bring your own or do you want to pay for ours". Who travels with BED LINENS??? I have booked over 100 hotels and apartments around the world and I have never ever seen this. Clearly, the owners are just trying to rip off the tourists. If the owners smartened up and got rid of this policy, then this place would be a 5 star.
