Aldea Mizúl - Beach Front - Adults Only

Beautiful cluster of 8 cabanas, well spread out to feel private. Gorgeous minimal decor. No swimming at this beach - we were told it’s too dangerous. Plunge pool was delicious. Food is local specialties. breakfast was amazing. Lunch and dinner were about the same menu and lacked variety. Dinner menu would benefit from more options and substantial entrees. Mosquitos at dinner were brutal! Here’s the big note - there is no store nearby, and no coffee available till 9AM with breakfast. NO COFFEE till 9AM!! There is a reasonably priced mini bar in the room. I strongly advise to Bring your own coffee! (There is a machine in room w Reusable filter or go w instant), drinks and snacks. No A/C but strong fan and mosquito net was almost cool nights in February. Taxi from the centro is about $800 MX (40 US) and takes about 25 minutes. We walked thru Hotel Escondido a mile up the beach and felt really good about spending almost half at Aldea Mizul. Highly recommend.

Staff wasn't eager to share info on resturants nearby, but we found a fantastic resturant, Punta Pájaros Puerto Escondido, about 1km walkingdistance on the beach. They should realy collaborate more locally. That lunch experience enhanced our over all feeling about Aldea Mizul. Security wasn't obvious.. if it excisted.

Great staff. Felt like we were on tropical island. Very interesting set-up with cabanas with open windows ie no glass and doors per pictures at foot of bed and private pool. Great hammock “retreat” overlooking ocean.

Mosquitoes in evening! Food good but quite limited menu. Really nothing to do but hang unless have car. That said, nice to just hang. Too problematic to swim in ocean due to rip tides.

It’s truly a place to reconnect with nature, people, and yourself. That’s the experience you should be promoting. The staff is amazing, especially the team in the kitchen—always providing excellent service, smiling, and playing boleros. The room was clean and well-equipped. I appreciated the experience of having no TV or air conditioning; The property is beautiful, with plenty of attractions nearby, such as restaurants, Casa Waba, and the stunning sunsets.

That the pool light does not reduce its intensity. Check the cleanliness of sheets, bedspreads and towels, because insects make them dirty. The mattress is very hard

The area is very green ! We took photos as of the wedding day we celebrated in Aldea Mizul and we liked the atmosphere! To be together in the middle of nowhere is very romantic. You will not regret if you choose Aldea Mizul

The problems with communication in English . When we booked, breakfast was included. The hotel did not tell us quite clearly what was included in the breakfast and what was not, so we had to order additional dishes for an additional fee. On the first day, we were told that cappuccino was included in the breakfast menu for breakfast, but the next day it was no longer (but only Americano). Be careful, there are no shops nearby and you will have to buy everything at the restaurant. Reppelents can be purchased at the reception. There was an unpleasant aftertaste about the breakfasts , but overall a very good hotel
