Very nice hotel & beach club. The set-up is beautiful, and the room are very comfortable with beautiful view on the beach. There is always nice music and the food & service are also good ;-) We recommend especially for people who like good vibe ! We will come back for sure...

The beachfront room was amazing, and so was the comfortable bed! The food, although pricy, was delicious. The staff was all incredibly kind!

If you are looking for somewhere quiet, this is not where you want to stay! It is a pretty much a club hotel, so if that is your vibe, you will love it, if not, you might want to pick somewhere else to avoid the bumping bass.

The room was advertised on hotels.com at $178/night. We only stayed one night because it was not as advertised. The hotel then charged our AmEx card $4,071.00 for a one night stay! Needless to say, I am disputing the charge.

I cannot recommend staying here enough! If you plan on visiting Tulum look no further than this picturesque property. All of the staff was immensely kind and helpful! The beach is beautiful, with staff cleaning seaweed daily, and the restaurant food is DELICIOUS!

The front desk was amazing and all the hotel stagf

We had an excellent check in experience. Both individuals at the front desk were friendly and helpful. They provided us with check in cocktails. We also had a lovely cleaning lady for our room who never took anything. There was a bit of construction going on in the back but it was only during the daytime after 10amish to the early afternoon then it was done. We always had a peaceful sleep. The only thing that ruined our experience here was the lack of service from the restaurant. Our very first breakfast there was a disaster. My friends had gone to start breakfast half an hour before me. When I arrived, they still had not received their coffee order which was just coffee- it wasn't anything fancy. When we finally asked, the waitress shared that the coffee machine was broken. I'm unsure why she didn't share this immediately or until we asked, so we can decide to go elsewhere for breakfast if needed. It always felt like we were the ones who had to provide customer service to her. She seemed stress and as if she did not want to be there. We had ordered two huevos rancheros and one came with fried eggs as the menu stated but the second one came with scrambled eggs. When I told her the second order is wrong, she said that's how the huevos rancheros are made. She made up a lie on the spot rather than apologizing on behalf of the cook, it was probably his mistake and just have him fix it. My friend also ordered an omelette with everything because there were ingredients on the menu so she meant everything on the menu. The waitress did not clarify or ask for clarification from her. When the omelette came out, she was missing the green which again is not a big deal at most restaurants. Usually, the waiters apologize for the misunderstanding and just add in the missing item(s). In this case, again she says that when we ask for everything it is only cheese and ham but never thought to share that "everything" meant something different from the menu or she just again made up another lie rather than a quick fix. The first coffee finally showed up 45 minutes aftre we sat down but no sugar or cream was included so my friend asked for cream which they do not have but said they can bring milk, which works. 15 minutes later, they still had not brought her milk so her cofffee was already cold by then. I've been married to a Mexican man whom I met in Guadalajara for almost 20 years and I've spent a lot of time in restaurants Mexico with him and my suegra and I know this is not normal for restaurants in Mexico or even Tulum. We had planned to spend most of our meals there but after that, we avoided the restaurant. We went back on our final day and another waitress served us instead so it was a better experience but we also knew how to provide customer service to them this time which should never be the case. The restaurant should always be the one to provide the customer service. We asked when we first arrived if the coffee machine was working and we asked if food can be provided in a reasonable amount of time (there was no one else in the restaurant, but it took so long the first time that we had to prepare for it this time). Both times that we entered the restaurant, there were multiple employees on site and not once did any of them greet us. I also noticed that no waiters ever stopped by the lounges where guests can stay to take any drink orders or food orders. I don't know why they would miss out on that opportunity to make more money when they make so much effort to try to get that out of the Beach Club. Just a side note: the hotel to the right of this hotel is under construction and there is a house to the left so you just have to walk a little to get another option for food. This place has potential but the way it is right now, it will have to sell to another owner soon, because it cannot make money when a lot of that money comes from alcohol and you can't sell that when you treat people horribly and they don't want to hang around.

We loved how we were welcomed. Both individuals at the reception were really nice and gave us all a welcome cocktail. We also had a sweet lady clean our room and never took anything. We really wanted to like everything about this place and spend as much money and time here, but our very first morning at the restaurant was a disaster. My friends ordered coffee (basic coffee) but they did not receive the first coffee for at least 45 minutes. I don't know why the waitress did not share that the coffee machine was broken as soon as she noticed it. It wasn't until half hour later when my friends asked, she shared that information. They could have decided to go elsewhere for breakfast and save her the stress. We also had a couple orders gone wrong. Two of us had ordered huevos rancheros. One order came with the fried eggs as the menu mentioned but the other order came with scrambled eggs. When I told her that my order came with scrambled eggs for some reason, she responded by saying that's how huevos rancheros are made. I don't understand why she would make up that lie to ruin a good experience. She could have just apologized and fixed that order. My friend had requested omellete with everything which includes a green on the menu but it came out without the vegetable listed. She then stated that everything meant only ham and cheese. I don't know why she just didn't clarify that when my friend ordered an omelette with everything. we really avoided the restaurant after that.

It’s basically an old property with a new cool neon sign. Unfortunately, this doesn’t cut it in Tulum, especially at these prices. Another major issue - the crazy amount of seaweed in front of the hotel. Some of the other hotels (Nomade, Be Tulum, La Zebra, etc) have teams working hard on clearing it, so let’s say the beach is not perfect but 80% of seaweed is gone. Casa Gitano doesn’t do much, if anything. There’s a huge wall of seaweed which makes it hard to even access the water (see photos). Food/breakfast average by Tulum standards. Overall, a disappointing stay. A place that charges high prices while doing the absolute bare minimum running a dated hotel.

Location was fantastic… quiet and less crowded area of Tulum. Hotel Staff, front desk, security, beach club staff (Nera) were great! Super friendly and helpful.

The restaurant manager or maitre’d for breakfast was not friendly, borderline rude. For 3 bfast days in a row, she never greeted us, or smiled back when we said good morning, quite the contrast when you have been greeted everywhere that morning around the hotel. And when there was a mix up with whether bfast was complimentary or not, she was accusatory in language until the hotel front desk person showed up and took care of it. The restaurant morning staff were ok but seemed as unhappy as she is. Thankfully the beach club staff and service were great.
