they thought we stole a key fob and try to charge me while the person we checked in didn’t give us anything but told us to use there key pad code for the door.
NLI rented the apartment for my mom and younger niece because of their home in Augusta, GA did not have electricity or water due to damage by Hurricane Helene. The location of the apartment was conveniently close to my older niece, who studies in Atlanta--she could walk over when she wasn't working or in class to help out.
The smoke alarm kept going off whenever we turned on the gas stove. The remote to the Roku didn't work, and it took a while before it was fixed, so we couldn't really watch TV. The washer stopped working after a few loads. A handyman came by and fixed the remote but couldn't fix the washer. The phone number we were given always went straight to voicemail, so my niece could not get in direct contact with the owners/property managers. We did get email responses when we texted/sent an email, but it was not very efficient for our situation just because the communication had to go through me, a third party--this is not necessarily the fault of the owners/property managers, though.

Host wasn’t responsive at all , stopped responding mid conversation. The ac is out in the entire building . Cigarette smells in the hall .

Problem receiving the correct door code, put on a different floor last minute and no air in the hallway on that floor so the apartment was hot even with air on. Also the kitchen door was ajar so anyone could have walked in on us!
