Ancora Punta Mita

Rooms were awesome. Great views. Baths and kitchen were first class. Great coffee/breakfast location in lobby. Pizza kitchen bar and BBQ restaurant in lobby. Fantastic rooftop pool top pool, bar and restaurant for awesome sunset views.

The units are nice, everything seems new. Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water for showers. Great sized patio for evening glass of wine/beer, includes a lounge chair plus table and 2 chairs, with plenty of room for walking around with a great view. We were able to see whales from our unit. Our personal preference is that the bedroom could have used blackout curtains, but we are used to very dark rooms. WIFI in our room never worked, but we did have cell phones and hot spot that did. We get that it is fairly new. We were fine. Great location to lots of restaurants and a mini mart nearby. Massages just down the street for $45, were great too. Check out LaCabana restaurant, great food, great view and really good prices. For the area, one should know there are no evening bars, this is not Puerto Vallarta with clubs that go all night and dancing. Evening ends around 11 pm. This was great for us. We did not realize was that this area was a beginning surfing beach, with more advanced surfing nearby. Not really beaches with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Fairly rocky bring your water shoes. If you like a nice laid-back week this is a good place to go. Ride from Airport to hotel was $100 USD. The airport sharks will start out with $198 USD. They will take $100. Going back to airport, get taxi just down the street from hotel in front of mini mart. It saves a bit, if you pay in pesos, comes to around $80 USD. They say Uber is cheaper we didn't attempt that. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first visit to Punta de Mita. We are so happy we chose Ancora, it was perfect! The space was fabulous, we loved our deck & the rooftop infinity pool & view from the amazing restaurant! Carlos & Griselda were very accommodating with checking in/out. If we needed to set up transportation, they would set it up and it was a smooth process. The resort is beautiful, we loved the pool and the restaurants were outstanding. We made friends with the restaurant staff and we absolutely loved Juan. He was so friendly and took great care of us. We definitely would go back and loved Pinta Mita! We loved how low key the town was and was full of delicious restaurants.

Really liked how quiet, easy to get around. Lots of restaurants , shopping and things to do. You can arrange trips for snorkeling and seeing the famous round lost caves. The staff were helpful and friendly

The accommodations were beautiful and the building was brand new!

This was our second time staying at Ancora and my entire family enjoyed it! The condos have great views and cheerful, modern decor. The rooftop pool is gorgeous and you’re steps from the beach as well as everything else that Punta de Mita has to offer!

We really enjoyed staying at this property! We were greeted by the friendly, Carlos, who helped us before and during our stay with a restaurant reservation, suggestions and new towels. The location relative to Punta de Mita was great: water view with easy walking access to all restaurants and activities but not in the center of it all, so it was quiet at night. There were 2 full bathrooms and the king bed was of memory foam and very comfortable. I'd highly recommend staying here!

We loved this place! Excellent location to walk to all the shops and restaurants, brand new construction with a lovely rooftop pool, restaurant and amazing views. We had plenty of room as a family of 5 (3 adult children) and our unit was equipped with washer/dryer/dishwasher and underground parking which made vacationing easy! Carlos was a wonderful concierge who fixed us up with a private fishing expedition, Marietas tour and even a cooking class with chef Lupita. AJ's rooftop steakhouse was top notch and the service was everything you could ask for. It looks like a cafe will be opening soon downstairs and with the marina right in front, it has everything you could want for a stress-free vacation in Punta de Mita!
