Tierra Alta Hostal

I absolutely love it! I felt so at home and everything was immaculate. Staff The staff were incredibly helpful with everything, and spoke english as well as spanish! Laundry I loved that I could do my own laundry with no restrictions. I have a lot of hand-wash clothing, including satins, wool, and jeans, and it was such a relief to be able to wash everything properly without any damage. Some places have made my clothes smaller, but not here! Showers The warm showers were a blessing after traveling for months without them. They were impeccably clean! I once went in after a lady with long dark hair, and though her hair was left in the shower, I didn’t mind because everything else was spotless. Normally, I would freak out if I found a strand of hair that wasn’t mine. Working Spaces You can work anywhere - on the terraces, in the living room, or the eating area. There are plugs everywhere: outside, on the floors, in the walls, both high and low. Plus, there are two WiFi connections. The only downside is that the WiFi can become a bit slow when the hostel is very busy. Entertainment The TV room has a smart TV, and the pool table can be converted into a ping pong table and another game table I don’t know the name of. Location The hostel is conveniently located, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and you can book plenty of tours with the hostel for a good price! Ambiance The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming, perfect for unwinding after a long day of travel. Room Comfort The rooms are comfortable and clean, with cozy beds that ensure a good night’s sleep. Also the blankets are so soft! Food Options There are great food options available, and the kitchen facilities are well-maintained for those who prefer to cook their meals. Value for Money Considering all the amenities and the excellent service, this hostel provides great value for the price.

One day the warm water wasnt boiling hot and I like my showers to be around 48 degrees. Also I would assume those super soft blankets to the living room for extra comfort while watching movies.

We LOVED this place. Definitely the nicest place we stayed in Mexico, the rooms are very nice considering how cheap it is. The common area is beautiful and the staff is very helpful. Location is great, just a block away from the Main Street. The hotel also helped us with some tours, cheaper than if you get them somewhere else. Definitely recommend this place!

Everything is amazing. Place feels like home. All saff is so frendly and helping with everything. Quite close to the historical center. I will be back for sure.

It's a great hostal. Excellent rooms. Great communal areas. Clean, good kitchen. Perfect location. Clean good bathroom with hot showers. One of the best hostal I've stayed in on ages.

really beautiful, spacious property that’s been in operation for a few months. not a super social hostel, more private and tranquil. perfect if you’re looking for a place to relax or work. very comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, nice hot shower, clean bathroom, lots of areas to lounge and relax, attentive staff. i would definitely stay here again when in san cris!
