"Beautiful hotel in a perct location. Would definitely stay again!"

10.0

The location is perfect. The building is beautiful and the staff are amazing. Guy and Ray were so helpful in helping us figure out what to see and where to eat. It was great getting to know Ray and Guy and we loved the two dogs, Molly and Karamelo. We also really enjoyed meeting the other guests.

The bed could’ve been more comfortable, it was too bouncy for two people.

"A very convenient slice of Paradise"

10.0

This little slice of Paradise is located in a leafy and quiet section of upscale Roma Norte. It’s a house built around 1910 with period architecture and high ceilings. It’s very convenient to a number of restaurants, very safe, and within walking distance to Reforma. Contramar, for example, is a seven minute walk. Ours was an upstairs room with windows that opened onto a lovely little courtyard with trees and plants that climbed stone walls. The bathroom had outlets for a couple of appliances and the standing shower was hot and strong (and a little complicated as hotel showers these days tend to be!) The staff that we met (Ray and Elena) were excellent: friendly, efficient and helpful. We had a large breakfast everyday if eggs, fruit and granola at the dining table with other guests. Guy, the owner, is an attentive host, coming down at breakfast to meet the guests. He’s a very interesting person to talk to, and very knowledgeable about a wide range of topics. He makes you feel like a friend. We highly recommend this place and plan to stay there when we come back.

"Beautifully decorated apartments in a tranquil leafy suburb within walking distance of cafes and museums."

10.0

A beautiful historical building in the trendy suburb of Roma Norte with enormous rooms which are beautifully decorated and appointed. The included breakfast is suberb and Ray the manager was so helpful and professional. It would have been nice to have some body lotion included with the toiletries.

"Service, ambiance, comfort, conversation!"

10.0

We stayed at this B&B for a week in early March and can attest to the care which the staff bring to its care and to the service of the guests. The Maison is an an old Roma building that has been meticulously updated for the 21st century but maintains its early 20th century ethos very well - you get the comforts of the 21st century in a 20th century setting! The staff, led by the always obliging Ray is excellent. The breakfast is a delight with fresh juice, plenty of fresh fruit, coffee, and eggs to order (try the chilaquiles and huevos rancheros). The location in a quiet street in Roma Norte is perfect, safe to walk around in and with plenty of restaurants and interesting shops within walking distance. Ray is a fountain of knowledge about what to do and how to get around in the city. Guy is a great conversationalist and has some interesting takes on the comparative history of Mexico and the US that I would have disagreed with a mere few months ago (but now, I'm not so sure) . We stayed in a ground floor room that was behind the main house and had a small sitting area just outside that was a good place to sit and work as was the comfortable sitting room in the main house. There is a nice roof deck to hang out in (but, tired after tramping around all day we never made it up there). Oscar drove us to and from Teotihuacán and was an excellent and obliging guide. You know you'll be well catered to when you stay here! My two minimum requirements (wifi and in room tea/coffee) were only partly met. The WiFi, though excellent in the main house and in the garden outside the room, was not the best (actually, it was quite bad) inside. But Guy is working on a repeater to improve the WiFi so, hopefully, that won't be a problem going forward (though I would ask if you care about wifi and are booking the ground floor garden room). I would have given it four stars for the wifi but the rest of the stay was impeccable so I can't quite bring myself to ding them for that. And, yes, there was tea and coffee in the rooms with a coffee machine for the coffee drinkers and a supercharged kettle for the tea drinkers. My spouse, a coffee drinker, says that the breakfast coffee was the best in Mexico City. No small compliment that!

"Great location, big spacious room, good breakfast and great service."

10.0

We had an excellent stay at Maison du comte. The room was very spacious, the location excellent and the service great. If we had any questions we got answers right away, we got great restaurant recommendations as well. Highlights for us were visits to the great pyramids and the house of Frida Kahlo.

Nothing to complain about. We had a great stay.
