HOLT Hotel del Pueblito

Great rooftop with a nice view of the church. I used it a few times to eat my street taco dinner, it’s a nice place to watch the sunset. The bed was super comfortable. It’s a great location close to all the shops and restaurants but on a quiet side street. It was wonderful falling asleep to the sound of crickets at night, very peaceful.

I loved the location, the design/decor, the cleanliness of the room, and the super-comfortable bed! It felt safe, was quiet (except for the San Miguel fireworks, but that is an issue anywhere!). I also appreciated that there was a filtered water dispenser available on the floor and that, when it was empty and I let HOLT know, it was refilled quickly.

The interior entranceway lighting at night. Sometimes the overhead lights were on, but when they weren't there was no apparent place to turn them on. There was another set of lights on the second floor, outside the rooms, but guests need a flashlight to make it up the stairs at night when the lower lights are off. The property should add a clearly marked light switch inside of the main entrance door.

Loved the area, the mini split plus fan for the hot weather, black-out curtains.

Pillows

This room is well appointed with everything I needed. It was very clean and cozy, and the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillow options. I was especially happy to have AC since the area was experiencing a heat wave. it was nice to return to the room to cool off every now and again. The hotel is in the middle of the Centro on one of the most beautiful streets in the area, and a very easy walk to anything. You really can't beat this location! I felt safe and secure in this space as a solo female traveler. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone I know who is traveling to SMA.

I was disappointed that the restaurant on the ground floor was not open—maybe permanently closed, but I'm not sure. I was there for a week to attend some classes and knew I would need convenience for food options and to accommodate my food allergies. One of the major reasons I chose Holt was the availability of food on-site. It would have been nice to know beforehand that the restaurant was no longer open so that I could have planned a bit more appropriately. Despite this, I would certainly stay here again.

Amazing location + value. Really well designed rooms with very good amenities. Loved the small details in the room; snacks, tea, etc. Would love to come back.

Self-check in is a little trick for people like us that don't read instructions until the last minute. Room a tiny bit small for us, but I'd rather accommodate for this than being far away from downtown.

Poor lighting in the room

Everything was great, rooms are comfortable and in great condition. The only thing was the bathroom, it had a bad smell because of the shower drain, other than that it was great!

The large king bed was incredibly comfortable. They let us check in early which was really nice of them. The shower was nice with good products. Great location - minutes from the town square. Really had a nice stay.

Nice location and interior, nice rooftop terrace

I paid twice more as I thought because of the hidden fees for cleaning etc, which were more than the room price. For one night it was not a good value of money. I had to upload pictures of myself and of my passport to an external app / provider which is totally unsafe. I refused to upload pictures of my personal documents online but there was no other way to check in.
