Casa Altata Hotel Boutique

My mom and I stayed at Casa Altata from November 27th until December 2nd. First of all, we would like to extend our compliments to the wonderful and attentive staff, Monica, Alice, Maria, Ari and any other staff members we may not have met but equally important! They made us feel extremely welcome and made sure that all of our needs were taken care of. The accommodations were very pleasant and the area was so charming, Monica even sent us a list of recommendations of local restaurants and cafe's to visit during our stay. The rooms were stylish, modern, beds were very comfortable and very clean. The shower was great with quick hot water and good pressure. The location was brilliant, Condesa is a great neighbourhood so we were really pleased with this. There was a common room for the rooms on our floor which had a kettle, teabags, ice machine etc which was a really nice touch. The breakfast options were good and tasty. The interiors were lovely throughout!

The only 'even better if' is around breakfast, there was only one person working both times we had breakfast and it took nearly an hour from when we sat down to be finished, which felt like a long wait given both days I only had a plate of fruit! It took at least 30 mins for coffee to arrive. Nothing against the lady who was cooking/serving/taking orders/manning the front desk - I couldn't have done it faster, it just needed another person! We didn't eat breakfast here on the last day because of this and did see that they had two people working that day so we might have been unlucky. Basically just needed more than one person so people weren't waiting for ages :)

I had a wonderful stay at Casa Altata. The location of the hotel was great! The room was very beautiful and the staff was lovely! I can highly recommend staying here!

Noise. Breakfast was below average. Several guests would show up when dining room opened to beat the line ups at attractions however getting fed was a slow process.

We had a pleasant stay at the Casa Altata. We stayed there a week and enjoyed the calm area and safe neighbourhood. The staff was nice. We were updraged to the suite since they had a mix up with our booking. On the downside, the water pressure in the shower was quite poor (good luck rinsing out the shampoo) and the breakfast service speed was disapointing. On 3 occasions, there was only one staff member serving and cooking for everyone. We had planned 1 hour before we had to leave and had to finally cancel our order because our driver arrived. On another occasion, we just decided to eat out because we had « only » 1 hour and there were 2 other tables before us. On a third occasion, while we weren’t pressed on time, it still took quite a long time for a really simple order. When both employees were there, it went more smoothly, but it seems that some mornings were understaff. Nevertheless, we definitely recommend the hotel

Great location; lovely & warm competent team; fabulous sandwich on my first day; really nice to have a separate "sitting area/kitchenette" and a constant supply of cold filtered water.

The safe didn't function but there was a suitable work around; maybe less cushions on the bed...

Casa Altata is a wonderful gem in south La Condesa. The staff was fantastic, the property is beautiful and very tastefully designed, and the breakfast was above and beyond. In a word, the hospitality is: EXCELLENT.

Our room was not soundproof. We heard quite a bit of street noise the first night, and the second night there was a raucous party in the building next door, just on the other side of our wall.

Casa Altata was a tranquil and lovely getaway! Staff was so friendly, rooms were fantastic, location was perfect. Would absolutely recommend staying here for anyone visiting CDMX!
