Hotel Lucine

The remodeled motel is very cutely themed with mid century modern decor that gives it all the cute points. However, the floors are painted concrete which is dented and cracked with no rug. There was old dirty caulk and grime at the base of the walls. My toilet was very crooked. The staff didn’t know if there was a WiFi password and didn’t get up to help me. They told me to call the desk from my room but I never found a phone in my room. I had to pay a resort fee but it is not a resort. The hotel restaurant was closed both days I stayed. With everything being concrete, other guests were very loud and I could feel other doors slam as I was in the bed. I did not sleep well. The beach was right across the street and access was convenient. Overall I’d say it was just OK.

Carpet had been pulled up and concrete floors all through and you could see spots where carpet was pulled.. pool water was dirty and lounge chairs were so decayed when I sat on them they went to the floor. No elevator and people disabilities were not made aware upon making reservations and I just had major back surgery. Parking was dangerously just for compact cars and no one there had a compact car, on the side the only safe parking had warning signs for only 2 hours. The restaurant only had mini snacks not approprotiate for meals. There was no valet or assistance and to get ice I had to go all the way up to the bar to get ice! And no refrigerator or microwave in our room!!!!!!!

Classy in every way, but like going back to simpler times. Great upstairs deck close to the water. Limited, but pecial food. Nice bars. Boutique

My husband and I thouroughly enjoyed out stay at Hotel Lucine! The staff was super friendly , room was very clean, and great access to the beach. We will definately be back!

Hidden gem - been coming to Galveston for years. First time at Lucine and we will be back. Great vibes, great views (upstairs bar/patio, the pool is awesome, mid-century decor) and a great stay!

An old motel got a glow up. Comfy beds, across from the beach and life music on the weekends.

Awesome rooftop bar in Galveston! Ask for Brian, he makes the best cocktails, a plus during happy hour. Try the aperol spritz and the modified caipirinha (with mint). Brian can make it all! Perfect summer evenings with live music. This is my happy place!
