Historic House Hotel boutique

Interesting concept for restoring an historic building but retaining its oldness. Great location to access good restaurants, the Paseo Montejo, and the central plazas. Off-street parking a great plus. Staff very attentive, helpful, and friendly. Loved some down time in the pool area.

les photos sur le site sont trompeuses, demeure très abîmée ou des pièces ont été rénovées. Pas de petit déjeuner alors que sur booking il est noté “petit déjeuner exceptionnel”. Aucun accueil sur place après 17h et pas de réponses whatsapp sur des renseignements demandés

Old house with a concept that preserves its exterior without remodeling. Good location, two blocks from Paseo Montejo. It has a private parking space and a patio with a cold swimming pool. The staff is attentive and responsive to guests’ needs within their working hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

The property is advertised as a “Boutique Hotel,” but in reality it lacks the services typically expected from a hotel, such as 24-hour reception, support, and security. In practice, it operates more like an expensive app-based accommodation with cleaning service. In addition, the facilities are quite simple: the bathroom is small and the hot water pressure is low. At night, we were concerned about security. Although we were told that Mérida is a very safe city, with no other people in the house and easy access to the property, we did not feel secure. For this reason, we decided to leave the hotel two days earlier than originally booked.

El lugar/ arquitectura es muy bonito, la casa antigua me pareció un muy buen concepto, la ubicación es muy buena.

Faltan muchas cosas para que pueda ser considerado un hotel, nunca en mi estancia de 7 días hubo agua caliente (solo tibia), no hay restaurante, tienen un convenio con un restaurante que es muy bueno pero se debe caminar una cuadra para llegar, la reja para entrar a la casa está en muy malas condiciones y es muy fácil de abrir aún sin el código de seguridad (solo se empuja la puerta y se abre), el área de cafetera es muy obscura solo hay una cafetera y un dispensador de agua fría/caliente para toda la casa, por el precio que cobran deberían tener una cafetera por habitación. No reemplazaron el papel higiénico ni la caja de kleenex hasta que se le pidió al personal. Debería ser catalogado como un Airbnb no como un hotel. Los sillones en el exterior están en muy mal estado (rotos).
