I loved the hotel, thank you Oswaldo and Arely, you made our stay very pleasant, everything was very clean and we loved the pool

Everything was perfect: good service, beautiful room and location.

Would be great to have hotter water. But it’s fine for hot weather.

Where shall I start? We’ve never arrived anywhere and been quite so surprised and disappointed. The photos are misleading. The exterior is a derelict house, the interior is partially derelict. The interior finish is bizarre to say the least and certainly doesn’t make it feel luxurious. Unfortunately it’s located on a busy road and the fact that the windows are the originals with significant gaps, means the noise penetrates the room. The pool area is it’s redeeming feature but as there is construction work all around and a car repair company next door it didn’t feel appealing. It’s a very unusual concept but although it appears quirky in the pictures, I’m not sure it will be everyone’s cup of tea.

A beautiful and unique property that hit all the right notes. Luxuriously designed internally with an attention to detail matched only by bigger 5* star properties. The location was perfect and the little breakfast restaurant was superb. Would highly recommend for a visit to Merida. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Location and look.

Our room was uninhabitable because it stank of damp and mould. They moved us to another two different rooms. One was unsafe due to the excessive leaking from the shower onto tiled floors every use. The other was better but close to the rd with no protection from noise so the traffic kept us awake all night. The manager then went back in the arrangement and forced us to find new accommodation and lose money because he insisted we had to return to the original room as he rented the room out to new occupants even though we were staying there at his suggestion. we couldn’t stay in a room that was dangerous for our health so we lost our money and ended up having to find a new place late at night due to his late notification he had changed his mind.

Be careful about some of the information on the Trip Advisor page as some of it isn't correct, primarily that a free breakfast is offered. Also know that the hotel is a recently converted old house, looking a little rough from the outside and retaining unrestored walls, doors and windows. The bathroom is updated and convenient. Our room was smallish but had a lovely first floor patio which leads to a beautifully maintained pool and garden area. The bed was large and comfortable.The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and we got very little street noise. We enjoyed our stay but recognized the hotel would not be for those more accustomed to a Hilton like place.
