The Port Hotel

Such a beautiful hotel. My husband and I loved it so much. I highly recommend this for a stay. We will be back for sure.

The room and property were nice. I parked in a space in front of the hotel and received a citation because of a farmers market. How was I to know? Not happy.

Not a thing

The room was furnished nicely. The selections for breakfast were good, but many of the selections needed to be microwaved and the microwave didn't seem to be working. The carpet in the room was very stained and dirty. The shared space between the restaurant and the inn were not clean. We didnt know there was no elevator or front desk personnel until after the room was booked. This mattered to us because the room was for ky elderly parents. The stay would have been more enjoyable for them if it had a more tradition set up with actual person to person communication instead of everything being virtual or online. They don't even own a smart phone. The reason i chose this inn was because i thought it would be a more personable experience than a big name hotel like Holiday Inn. It turned out to be less clean, less personable, less convenient, and more money. Live and learn i suppose. Jim, the manager was very friendly on the phone, but i don't think they saw or spoke to him during their stay.

There wasn't a working light bulb above the sink in the bathroom- making it very difficult to get ready!! Would have liked a full length mirror somewhere in the room/bath. The airconditioner system made for a difficult nights sleep. The running/no-running was very noticable To find where to enter the parking lot could be improved (better sinage) I would suggest wooden shutters on the bathroom windows that face the street

Although it did not affect me, my room was on the third floor with no elevator. It could have been important to know about that in advance.

Nice hotel. The downside is the STEEP and long staircase you need to haul your bags up. Whew! It would be appreciated if the hotel offered baggage service but that's not available. If schlepping your bags up and down those awful stairs is a potential issue for you, consider a different hotel.
