Noisy room

A beautiful old hotel with lovely modernized rooms. Friendly staff. Great location. A comfortable and well-provisioned lounge.

The security before checking in is odd. It is a hotel without a front desk, or anyone on site. However, there is no coded entry. Before arriving, anyone could have come in off the street and gone to the room, and, find it unlocked with the keys on the bedside table. The wifi in our room was poor. It was good in the lounge.

The rooms were quite nice, I was disappointed that the restaurant," Moolight Tavern" , in the hotel, was not open on Sunday and Monday. The lounge area where we ate breakfast was welcoming and fully stocked with excellent breakfast food. Hopefully they will complete their paln to build an elevator.

A great walk to everything location in a lovely little town. Travel light though, no elevator and no first floor rooms.

Location, history, quality of furnishings

No towels or wash cloths in room.

Nice place quaint

Spacious room very nicely furnished with a really comfortable bed. The guest lounge had very nice baked goods and fresh fruit. We’d stay again

Second time staying in this beautiful hotel. We had some initial problems with our room not being available at checkin time however the owner went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Would love to stay here again.

Lovely historic hotel with great restaurant & bar. Guest room was spacious, clean & very comfortable. Lounge offered fruit, coffee, cookies, pastries & more for guests. We would definitely recommend. Only issue for some guests might be lack of elevator as rooms are on 2nd & 3rd floors.
