TownePlace Suites by Marriott New Philadelphia

First, I would like to say that the hotel was very nice. The first problem was we couldn't control the air. The second problem was the room above us was out of control and the NOISE from the road was so loud we couldn't sleep. Finally at 12:30am i was ready to leave and drive 4hrs back home !!

Breakfast was amazing. The staff was super friendly. Check in was seamless. Beautiful facility and location. Loved the outdoor fire pit. We were there for a wedding and the property far exceeded my expectations.

I stayed here for one night while travelling in Ohio for business and wish Id made it two (I spent the second night at a Sheraton an hour away and this hotel was MUCH better). I had a basic king room and since I met colleagues for dinner I didn't need to use the kitchen amenities but they looked quite sufficient. Comfy bed, spacious shower, nice lighting, comfortable touches and a great desk to get work done - my view overlooked the river which was nice and I even spotted some ducks. Enjoyed a cup of tea (along with coffee, seem to be available in the lounge all day) our by the firepit in the evening. App worked perfectly for checkin, mobile key and checkout - I never needed to speak to the staff, but they were present at the front desk if I needed anything, and welcomed me upon arrival. I'll be staying here again and have already reccomended to a colleague who usually stays across the street. PS: don't miss the El San Jose mexican restaurant down the block - fabulous food and service!

Bathroom shower drain was severely clogged

As others have said, a new hotel so lovely and fresh. As per reviews at check in we asked if any upgrade available but were advised no, though seemed extremely quiet. Then requested a room overlooking the river as other side (front) looks over the carpark and restaurant next door which has live entertainment. Front desk said that was fine, get to our room and it is overlooking the restaurant not the river! Went back downstairs and they said restaurant next door only has live entertainment on weekends. Changed our room to riverside which is what we asked for in the first instance. We noticed live entertainment was on that evening so it is not just on weekends. Comfortable beds, good wifi, daily housekeeping on request. Bedroom windows had handprints all over (see photo) enhanced by the sun shining through. Hallways needed a good vacuum. By a busy highway and near impossible to turn left on exiting property so give up and just turn right as others have said. Breakfast until 9.00, we arrived at 8.50 and NO hot food left but signs for quiches, bacon, and meat and egg muffins. We ate cereal and yoghurt and watched as staff checked but never replaced empty dishes. Not good enough guys. Nice hotel but front desk run by really young and inexperienced staff with very casual dress and general customer service seemed quite lacking for our stay. Enjoyed the indoor pool though a tad cool. As a Platimum we travel often and are very familiar with what make a good hotel stay vs a not quite hitting the mark stay. This was the latter which was disappointing for such a new hotel. Constructive feedback that hopefully management can discuss. More training maybe required and a higher standard needed.

The room had a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room. It looked new, and everything was very clean. There were 2 large screen TVs. We had a beautiful view of the river.

It was very difficult to drive out of the hotel, especially if you were turning left, due to traffic.

The hotel was new and looked and smelled it. Check in was fast and staff was friendly. Our room was ready on time and easy to get to from any entrance. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was mostly clean aside from some leftover kibble and dog fur hiding under the kitchen cabinets and some spots on the fixtures in the bathroom. The bed was ok, not as soft as I like, and they need a heavier blanket. It was super quiet. We didn't even hear other doors closing. We liked the view of the river/creek from our room. The fire pit looked nice. Breakfast was good, especially for free breakfast, and the ladies working were super accommodating. We would come back.

Nice new hotel. just don’t take any even number rooms during the summer weekends because the live band next-door will keep you up. however, the staff was excellent and moved our room for us. Very roomy rooms. I am very nice staff. Right on the river
