Celebrity Inn

This motel is considered a 2 star motel but if you want a comfortable, quite room that's what you are going to get. If you want to get a good night sleep it's perfect. Many 4 star places are never quite. This is a working mans motel. Early to bed early to rise.

The owner is top notch, as noted in other reviews. The mattresses and pillows were great, the room was clean, and the price was good. There was a refrigerator and microwave. The people cleaning the rooms were friendly too. I hope to stay there again the next time I'm in Clarinda. If you get the chance to check out the Glenn Miller Festival you should!

Love the collectibles they have around- some great old dirt bikes and antiques. This place is ok for the few nights I was there, and I am staying there again next month. It is nothing fancy, but it's priced right and they are friendly. The only other option is the Super 8 or a B and B and the Super 8 is 50% more $$.

I recently stayed a couple of nights and will stay here again when in the area. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Roger (the owner) is very friendly and helpful. Parking was ample with lots of room if you pull a trailer. I found the rates very reasonable.

My parents stay here recently and my mom is in a wheelchair. The woman at the front desk basically told my dad that they don't want to have to deal with handicapped people. I'm assuming that is why they don't have a handicap room available. Ironically, when I was pregnant, i used alot of the handicap bars to get off the toilet. How hard is it to install a bar by the toilet?

But this hotel has one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on. It was so hard I feel bruised this morning. I'm not 100% positive it was better than the floor. It is also not entirely clean. I found 2 hairs in our comforter and I wasn't looking. There are small cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. On the plus side, the sheets are clean and there are no critters that I saw. The room was really quiet, too.

The Celebrity Inn is like a restored classic car. The style may be old but the feelings it resurrects are priceless! From the nostalgic chrome tissue box holder to the beautiful paneled walled room. All this with updated amenities, Wi-Fi, cable TV etc.. The owners are awesome down to earth people that make you feel at home. My wife is a clean freak and the Celebrity Inn would score a 10+ in her book for affordable hotels. I will look no further when I am in Clarinda Iowa for a place to stay I am even going to request the same room for I have become attached to the recliner in my room!

Or it didn't all go down. Clean enough, bed was ok, pillows were good for one night, staying longer, bring your own. Was in as good of shape as grandma's house, way friendlier than Grandma, left a key out for our late arrival.

Due to a death in our family I had to find a group of rooms for several out of town members of our family. I came across the Celebrity hotel and after speaking to the owner Roger booked the rooms. What I found was a big relief, the rooms were very clean, comfortable, quiet, and warm on these cold January days. I was in a group coming from Az. and our flights were delayed and we did not get to the motel until after 9pm. The owner Roger had got all of the drive in family put in their rooms as they got there, and was waiting with the 3 rooms for us. The owners and employees were great and if we needed anything they were there to take care of everyone. The price was great, and the town of Clarinda was one of the nicest places I have been. Check out the Ice House restaurant for great food and the Glen Miller birth place museum.

A nice, clean inexpensive motel. What a pleasant surprise. The beds were comfy and the place was very clean. The price was very inexpensive. The management was very friendly and helpful. We were so happy we found it. They are pet friendly and welcomed our two small dogs with no extra fees. If you want fancy this one won't be for you. If you want a nice, quiet,comfy place, then you will love this one.
