Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Ottumwa

Beautiful hotel. Just a few steps from Bridge View Event Center. All the great amenities. Staff are super friendly, and very helpful. We would definitely stay again. If I had to come up with something to improve on, the AC system is built into an interior wall of the bedroom (suite), and it’s fairly loud when cycling on and off. Other than that, perfect! Very clean and fresh. Very comfortable bed, and pillows, with plenty of extra pillows, etc.

Location to Bridgeview is great

There’s a very stale smell of smoke in your long-term residence room with a kitchenette. It was very pervasive anytime the room was closed up. We opened the windows out to the deck and had the front desk come and spray, air freshener, but it really did not dissipate the significant outer of smoke. It’s a great room for families and friends who are coming together… Really a shame that the smoke is so significant. Highly recommend you consider a carpet change as I fear that is the only way to eradicate the smoke.

Overall this hotel was very nice. It is fairly new. Room was clean and beds were great. Staff was friendly. Price was good. The complinary breakfast could be better. The breakfast room is small and not a lot of choices of food and had to drink orange juice out of a small pre-packaged container instead of a juice machine that most hotels have.

Very clean. Front desk clerks were very helpful and inviting. Checking and out was easy. Breakfast was horrible. We came down and had to wait 15 mins for eggs. I would strongly suggest replace the guy serving breakfast he had earlier buds in and acted like he could care less. I had to ask the guy at the front desk Alex if he could get him to make more eggs he was very helpful. Btw Alex was very helpful from the time I called in to make reservations all through my visit. The two gals at the front desk were very pleasant as well. There was a new gal learning she may have been nervous but she needs to smile more. She was the one with the huge eyelashes. Will stay next time we come to Ottumwa.

This hotel is top class all of the way. I highly recommend the in house chophouse. Extremely friendly bartender and wait staff. The menu is off the chart. Top quality hotel all the way around.
