Bywater Suite Hotel

Geweldige plek in een wijk met leuke restaurantjes. Fijn verblijf met een mooi zwembad en heerlijk bubbelbad. Compleet ingericht appartement met wasmachine en droger.

Believe this was an old monastery building that's been converted to an apart hotel. Really nice rooms and self check in codes. Spacious and wifi worked well. Pool was really nice to cool off. The Bywater neighborhood was cute, it's more residential, but there's a few nice local restaurants / coffee spots that are fantastic. It's a short 10 min Uber to the French Quarter and more central areas, or there's a bus stop around the corner as an economical option. As a result, staying in the Bywater make not be the ideal option for every tourist coming to NOLA, but as a long time visitor, I really loved being here. I will certainly return.

Fitness room was too small and not worth using.

The parking was gated.

They didn't disclose that parking prices are $28-$30/night before you booked the reservation even though they've had complaints. Of course they realized many people simply wouldn't book this place if they were upfront about it. They dont have phones, so there isn't a way to reach the front desk other than coming downstairs multiple times in the hope that someone might be there. Many times the desk was abandoned. The walls are incredibly thin and you can easily hear entire conversations down the halls.

It was a remodeled church, which lent its own distinctive vibe to our stay. But all over it was a beautiful property. The suite was very clean and comfortable, with a comfortable couch and a fully stocked kitchenette. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom and shower were great. Beautiful pool area, friendly staff, although we virtually never encountered any of them. Nonetheless everything went as it should. All of the keypad entry points worked flawlessly. I would definitely recommend this for a couple getting away, or a family. Were I traveling alone? I would’ve enjoyed it as well.

It had a very particular ambience being in a ref refurbished church grounds. I have no personal attachment to this in anyway, but I did find it unique and its own way and quite nice.

exactly as described, beautiful rooms, nice gated parking area and easy access to elevators and rooms. it is worth the price ten fold.

El departamento hermoso, limpio, amplio y muy cómodo. El edificio y las instalaciones en general muy lindas, también el área de piscina

Me gustó todo. Si tuviera que decir algo, no me sentía segura en el barrio para salir a caminar sola, pero no digo que se inseguro porque no lo sé, solo que yo no me sentía segura. Podrían poner tazas de losa para el café? No me gustó tomarlo en vados plásticos.

Der Pool im Objekt

Badtür hing schief und ging deshalb nicht zu schließen, Küchenausstattung war nicht ausreichend vorhanden, Straßenlärm durch geringen Schallschutz nachts sehr unangenehm.

The hotel was very clean, easy-to get to and from using public transportation and the surrounding neighborhood had interesting things to see and excellent places to eat. The staff were friendly when seen but not super present. Our rooms were very spacious and there was good clothing storage. Everything seemed pretty new. Great to be able to do the laundry in fresh new machines. Having actual bedrooms was good for our family for privacy and space. Good value for the price. Getting to NoLa sights was simple and felt safe. Walking around the Bywater neighborhood was really cute- especially all the Halloween decorations.

Despite having three little balconies, we could not open either the French windows or the blinds. It would have been lovely to sit out or even see out. Conversely, it was impossible to fully darken the bedrooms for sleeping, but that was not too bad. One room was above a very rumbley a/c unit, which took some getting used to at night. We had to ask for things like enough cutlery and chairs for our family of 3, and basic things like a can opener and extra toilet paper, kitchen towels etc were not provided.. when we asked for these it was as if we were making outlandish requests, but eventually, they were produced.
