Hyatt Place Albany Downtown

In town for the Whitechapel concert 🤟🏼with my daughter, we stayed 2 nights. Honestly, this is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed at. Staff was helpful and friendly. Lobby offered spacious sitting areas, complimentary individually wrapped fruit, bottled water, ice tea, and fruit water. Hotel room had comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. I used the treadmill and cable machine in the fitness room which had small towels and sanitizing wipes available. Breakfast bar (very clean with attentive staff) had a nice variety and as vegan/vegetarian, we had plenty with oatmeal with toppings, seasoned potatoes and salsa, orange juice, and coffee. Parking for our 2 cars was via Albany Parking app which was easy to download and use. Short walk to Empire Live. Yes, I would stay here again!

Typically, when I travel to the capital region on business I stay at one of the other hotels in downtown Albany, of which there are few. So when I had the opportunity to try out this relatively new Hyatt I jumped at the chance, hoping for a refreshing change… and I couldn’t be happier that I did! My work assignment ended up being extended again and again for the last few months and I could not have picked a better joint for a super long stay. Was never once tempted to switch to any of the neighboring hotels because this hotel is the newest one in the area, everything is brand spanking new. The location is absolutely perfect as it sits on the riverfront/Hudson River area, which leads right to the most scenic part of this hood And if all of that was enough, I must say that in my travels, I cannot remember a staff being so amazing on every level. They truly made it feel like my home away from home. Courteous, attentive, friendly, outstanding on every level. For a 2-4 day stay, the staff might not be such a factor, but when you are there as long as I was , it truly made a huge difference. And since the staff was so great to me and made me feel so welcomed and comfortable there, I wanted to give a shout out to a few individuals that made this extended work trip feel a lot less like work!🤗😎 Shoaib Saeed the GM just a great guy who really went above and beyond the call of duty to help me on more than one occasion Chris and Mike behind the bar both are such great dudes in general Lanaya Anjeli Aneka ( NeeNee) Apologies if I left anybody out. All of these individuals were great! Truly made me feel right at home. ( I’m sure they will all miss my nightly trips to the lobby microwave 🤪) Hope to see

Breakfast was not good; lacking of just everything. Outside paid parking but not too far. Building looks really old from outside with scary neighborhood; but it is not that bad when walking out of the hotel to reach downtown (5-10 minutes to walk).

The staff was wonderful. The gentleman at the front desk named Ed was phenomenal and friendly.
