Wasn’t sure what to expect but this quaint place was so charming. Rooms not the biggest but adequate for our one night stay. Lovely and clean and very quiet. Had dinner and breakfast in the dining room. Very good food at reasonable price. Lastly the cookies were the best - so many to choose from. The onsite shop was an added bonus. Would recommend to any traveller.

"Wonderful visit to the North Rim!"

10.0

My friends had returned from the rim to rim hike. This place was perfect. We stayed in a cottage and liked the quiet and the privacy. We walked on the service road and saw a crazy Kaibab squirrel. What a treat! We ate 5 meals that were delicious. Kind servers, but you can’t be in a hurry. The north rim is 50 miles away so where else are you going to eat?

Very convenient stay for visiting North Rim. Room was clean and food was good. Because this is only place within 45 min of North Rim, lots of rim to rim hiker groups stayed here and left very noisily at 3am each morning as walls are paper thin. It was busy and food service was slow. Don’t come hangry. Cookies were delicious. Would recommend driving another 45 min out and staying in Kanab if you are just visiting Grand Canyon for a day or two - many more options for lodging and food in cute little town

Staff were excellent. Very welcoming. The restaurant food is great. They're very busy so as others say, can be a little slow but very polite and friendly. The rooms are a bit cramped and had a fusty smell but beds very comfortable. Only one cup in the room so glad we had our water bottles with us. Again, staff very helpful and friendly.

"Only option outside of the North Rim GC."

6.0

We stayed in a cabin. Wifi not great for streaming. No TV. Bathroom was rather small. The hotel is really remote in the forest and the closest you can get to the North Rim Grand Canyon without staying at the GC lodge. They have fantastic homemade cookies and ice cream in the office. The onsite restaurant food was great but the servers were desperately understaffed so service, was very slow. However the servers were all very kind.

This is a great alternative to staying at North rim main lodge. It’s got a great cabin feel even in the motel rooms. Having the restaurant right on property was great with good food at good price, but service can get a little slow at “rush hour” times. Gift shop is better than the one at North Rim. The drive to north rim is very picturesque and easy to make in about 45 minutes

We loved the location! The gift shop was wonderful! The cookies and turnovers fantastic! We stayed in the hotel and there was a musty mildew smell near ice maker! The restaurant was in need of more staff. Took awhile to get our food!! However we would love to come back!

Very convenient to the Grand Canyon North Rim. Good cookies and nice little store/gift shop/restaurant. Staff was friendly but breakfast service was extremely slow even though they were doing their best.

The perfect place to stay when visiting the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. I reminded me of the small family-owned inns that dotted the Catskills and Adirondacks of NY of my youth. Still family owned and operated, their service to the client is first class and the staff are well trained, courteous and cheerful. We will be back!
