Prior to going, I had to call the Hotel to confirm the rooms had a working TV, hot water, and extra blankets (based on some of the "odd" reviews I saw. With a yes confirmation, Hubby & I checked in on a Saturday around 5:00 pm and stayed the night. Other than the mattresses being a bit hard, the rooms were large & roomy. No frig or microwave, but we didn't need them. They did a good job of putting us on a floor with no kids (without asking), so it was nice for sleeping. It's a bit outdated, but so what. VERY clean! Staff was friendly. Casino was on the small side (but I never got lost!) (They have a teeny non-smoking section). Smoky yes, but not horrible. Not a crowded casino, like some. I feel comfortable recommending this to anyone. $99. Only 1 restaurant, but the town itself has some good options for eats. HIGHLY recommend the Chinese place in town / SUM HING.

After reading some reviews, my expectations were low, however I was pleasantly surprised with the exception of the strong smell of smoke in the public areas. I asked that they put an air ionizer in our room before check-in, and they did do that as our room smelled fresh when we entered. The room was clean, but slightly dated. Carpets seemed newer and clean. The breakfast was indeed continental as advertised, but not great. Prepackaged cinnamon rolls were very cold. I ate my breakfast in the room because of the smoke smell in the breakfast area. The staff was friendly. If you plan to stay, I would definitely recommend requesting an ionizer before check-in, since there are smoking rooms on every floor, so there could be some smoke smell drift even though your room is non smoking.

Smoky, shabby, needs updating. Staff was not friendly. Breakfast was sub par.

Another great stay at Wild Rose. Can't beat the value. Miss the hot buffet breakfast and would be willing to pay for breakfast if they still had that option.

This is an old casino with a run down hotel! The breakfast was a bunch of junk food from Walmart and the staff person almost stared at us if we ate anything!! Not a good place to stsy
